It would have been better if the hinge retainers were bare steel when the hinges are plated steel. It was a pleasant surprise to see a replacement sticker for the inside of the door that makes the unit look like a newer unit rather than old and ratty. There are a pair of 5/16" dia. x 1/4" long rivets required to install the hinges which are not included, so you'll need a drill bit and those rivets. Replace the old hinges with a single hinge by drilling out the old ones. Put the door on the hinge, and then position the other hinge in the door, and finally rivet it. A cam lock is relatively simple to install, but is not as intuitive to remove. To remove the old cam lock, compress the spring from the rear, rotate the metal ring in the front 90 degrees in either direction, and it will pop right off, giving you access to the spring at the back. Removing the old cam lock and installing the new one is the reverse process. I wish you luck and hope you have a great time.
