The majority of people control them by wiring them to an on/off switch. Unless you wire them to a headlight wire or something that turns on whenever your factory vehicle lights turn on, they'll stay on all the time; however, check your state's laws; many have laws prohibiting blue or red accessory lighting. It gives the impression that you're imitating a fire truck or a police car.
They each have a power consumption of 9 watts. Total power consumption is 36 watts. If you scroll down to "from the manufacturer," you'll find more information about the lights. Make certain to order a wiring harness with four ends. Each light gets its own.
Look for one with four hookups and double-check that it's a four-hookup wiring harness. When I ordered mine, I didn't double-check; it stated that it was. Wasn't. I simply used wire connectors to splice into the existing wire. Heat shrink tubing (but splice style) and (but splice style). It's a little inconvenient. But I used connectors and heat shrink tubing to run the new wires the length I needed and connect them to the lights. I hope this has been of assistance.

For the purpose of Under the Hood! As a result, I'm not a big fan of ground lighting and don't think I'll ever need it for "rock crawling. " My truck is a 2004 Dodge Ram Cummins, and it does not crawl on any trails. Instead of the tiny, halogen bulb that has less output than a candle, I've been researching functional solutions to add under-hood lighting that actually serves its purpose. Having said that, I looked into LED strips and found these. The way they cast light would be ideal, and I took a chance on them, and they turned out to be fantastic in their application. Now I can see when I'm working under the hood without awkwardly holding a light in my mouth or balancing a light somewhere balanced at the perfect angle. br>br>To activate them, I wired an on/off push button switch. br>br>They appear to be of sturdy construction, are compact, and come with a rubber bumper that is useful for installation. The bumper that came with them, however, is rounded on the bottom so that it can be mounted to a bar. There is no flat rubber bumper for mounting on flat surfaces; you'd have to mount the light to the surface, which would be a problem because the wire would need to pass through a hole in the surface. They should've also included a flat rubber mount. Fortunately, since I was mounting them on the corners of sheetmetal radii, the round ones worked perfectly for my application. However, the photos show that these items are extremely bright. There was no camera trickery used here; the shots were taken one after the other. Although it appears that it is still light outside in the shot with them off, the camera was attempting to capture as much light as possible in the dusk. The photos of them lit up are meant to represent the true darkness of the outside world. br>br>I can't speak to their durability just yet, but they appear to be sturdy, and they'll be out of the elements for me at least.
These rock lights are very nice, arrived quickly, and contained everything that was described. They were simple to put together, but they did necessitate the use of a wiring harness as well as an allen wrench. The Nilight wiring harness and some extra wire were enough to get the job done. They're extremely bright, and they cast a lovely bright glow around the wheels. I previously installed a Nilight 20-inch light bar with a Nilight wiring harness, which is also excellent! To light the night, it is highly recommended.
I bought a dozen of these red lights to use as rock lights and to illuminate my grill from behind. I haven't completed the rock light position, but I have completed the grill back lighting, which I have photographed. I already have white versions of these lights in my wheel wells. I dislike multi-color sets that can be controlled wirelessly with an app or a remote. I'm a guy who prefers the old-fashioned way of doing things. The white rock lights are turned on by one switch, while the red rock lights are turned on by the other.
The mounting backs have channels for routing the wires without putting additional strain on them, the lights are bright, and the wire is of good quality. All you'll need is some wire and an inline fuse to connect to your own switch. Nilight is without a doubt my first choice when it comes to affordable lighting.
One of the best features on my UTV is the rubber mount under the lights that helps contour to the roll cage. I only used blue and found that 8 pods provided more than enough lighting. Each wheel well has two of these. I used a 10 amp in line fuse and a pulse bar on accessory for wiring. Each light has about 8" of wire, so you'll need to add to them and know how to wire them properly. So far, everything has gone according to plan - They appear to be well-made.
Lights that are fantastic. They have the perfect amount of brightness. They were bolted to the underside of my fifth wheel. Strong magnets were epoxy'd to the backs of the lights before they were stuck to the frame. Installation is a breeze.
I installed two inside my 2022 Polaris Ranger for interior lighting, and I must say it's perfect; I was going to add two more for foot lighting, but two lights are bright enough to light up the entire cab nicely. Because the amperage draw is so low, I was also able to connect directly to the Polaris pulse system's switch! I'm not sure why the other reviews are so low because it doesn't come with any wiring, relays, or switches; if you want them, they sell a kit that includes everything; read the description before you buy; these lights are fantastic!.
These were purchased to help with vehicle leveling at camp after dark. br>Long leads are nice. Constructed from heavy materials. All mounting hardware is included. It is required that you use your own wiring, switch, and relay. br>I'll post a video of the installation later.
