I bought this primarily to have an extra set of tail, brake, and turn signal lights, so that if any of your regular lights go out or break, you'll still have a signal. Because my Expedition is so tall, I like these lights to be right at eye level with all the tiny cars weaving through traffic like racing wannabes. At first, the gap was a little too tight for my hitch; I couldn't get it back far enough, but a light filing of the edges gave me the extra millimeter or so I needed, ensuring a snug and secure fit. Make sure to test the lights to avoid turning them on backwards (and sending mixed signals). These lights have made me extremely happy.
The corners of the item are rounded. The edges of the truck hitch are squared. Built a bracket to fit the hitch out of a piece of 2x4 lumber. The lighting, on the other hand, is excellent.
To get the blinkers to match the blinkers on my car, I had to install it upside down, and the plastic cracked when I overtightened the set screw.
I plugged it in, but it's not working. It doesn't work because nothing lights up. It appears to have been previously utilized. It has a crack where the tightening screw connects it. The plastic appears to be scraped and scratched.
This simple concept lowers the likelihood of a driver failing to notice my indicators.
Only ok.
Thx.
Gift for the holidays.
