By working in manageable sections or from the side of a ladder or scaffold, you can accomplish your goal. After you prime and coat the first half, you can walk on it to prime and coat the other half once the first coat has dried. Primer and coating one half of the RV is a popular method. Always start from the bare side and work your way up. You can still layer the other side of the primer if you leave a little exposed on the first half.
I just wanted to let you know that the Liquid Rubber EPDM Primer is not a stand alone coating. You will have to coat the object with a rubber liquid coating of your choice. In the case of an RV, you would coat the primer with liquid rubber RV roof coating. You can get excellent technical support, application information and video tutorials from Liquid Rubber USA.
In the case of reapplication of previous coatings, a primer will improve adhesion greatly. You will need to work in manageable sections after it has dried because it will remain sticky. The online technical support, application information, and video sections of Liquid Rubber USA/CAN are both excellent.
Selected User Reviews For Liquid Rubber RV Roof and EPDM Rubber Primer - Weatherseal Camper and Trailer Roofing Coating 1 Gallon
I was unable to use the gift box due to the rubber leaking from the box upon arrival. I did however note that it adhered to my front porch steps, so it seems to be functional. When you use forte, make sure to clean it up so when you are going to use it, tell me if anything has dripped. It is incredible that someone would even deliver a box that is There's no way I can avoid it. I hope it covered the whole delivery truck.
The purpose of this purchase was to make my travel camper's rubber roof look better. Customers are served in a way that is unmatched by other companies. We took the time to answer any questions you may have about how to apply the product and the application went flawlessly and easily. I saved a few hundred dollars by doing it myself and have had no leaks or issues since using the rubber roof sealant and the EPDM Primer. If it is time for the roof to be replaced, I will definitely buy it again.
The contents of the container were all cut out. The second one came in worse shape after they replaced the first one. The leftovers had to be thrown away.
We found it cumbersome to prepare a liner for edpm, sand it, and then apply it. After applying primer and letting it dry for 48 hours, a little bit of moisture after the primer dried caused the rubber coating to blister or bubble. The thicker piece would have been easier to buy if I had just bought it It saved me $50 and also a whole day of work when I rubberized EDPM. It is not something I would repurchase unless it is for use in concrete ponds.
It was easy to install and had a quick fixing for my mom's roof. We did not realize that you have to buy two parts in order for it to work, so that was the one snag. Despite this, I really liked the company. It was a great experience and I would use it.
Any kind of surface will stick to this stuff. After the cure is complete, it will be.
Welp - not working. With a roofing buddy who is a pro, I even applied it together. There are still leaks after I applied this primer and sealed it, not sure if it was this primer or the sealant itself.
Adhesion is excellent.
