If you want to haul anything on your roof, you'll need roof racks. You could use pool noodles, but I wouldn't trust log travels in that manner.
I'm not sure, but you should contact the company directly. I had an issue with the strap I purchased, and they replaced it with priority mail right away.
Although the tooth is made of metal, the buckle is made of silicone. These are great because you won't have to worry about your car getting scratched. My boyfriend and I both bought a set for our kayaks, and we love them.

I thought they were a great deal when I first saw them. The buckles are protected by a rubber sheath so they don't scratch your car when thrown over the top. They do, however, expand. They're made of a synthetic blend that you can cinch down as tight as you can, but they still stretch so much that our kayak bounced out of the saddles and ended up slipping around on the Jeep's roof. I assumed it was my fault, but it's happened twice now, so I'm pretty sure it's the material they're made of. Back to Yakima straps for me. They were never an issue for me.
I've been strapping surfboards to my roof for years, so I know good straps when I see them, and these aren't one of them; the material is slick and a little difficult to cinch down. The DYE is the worst part! They used a dye that completely absorbs whatever it comes into contact with. My kayak, hands, and car were all covered in it. Regular ratchet straps would have been more appropriate.
It took some pressure to overcome the spring and the rubber at first, which made opening the clasp a little difficult. But after a couple of trips, they'd broken in nicely and are now as smooth as butter. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a high-quality set of kayak straps to purchase these. The rubber does an excellent job of preventing scratches on your vehicle.
The good: well-built, appears to be bulletproof, and is unlikely to let you down. However, routing the strap is difficult due to the rubber jacket that surrounds the buckle to protect vehicle paint. I'm perched atop my van, which appears to be simple at times and impossible at others. I'm not sure why it varies, but I'm going to stick with NRS regular straps for now. It doesn't matter to me if my paint job is flawless.
I mainly use these to secure my OC1 canoe to my roof rack. The clamp's rubber cover protects my car from dings and scratches, which is one of the main reasons I purchased them. They're also stylish and made of long-lasting materials. I have no concerns about these snapping or loosening. Overall, if you need to transport items safely in your car, this is an excellent investment.
When you set up, the cargo and the car will be well protected. When it's attached, it's very sturdy. The built-in elastics to keep them rolled are also a nice touch.
straps on the bottom There are no dislikes. Two straps are used to secure SUPs (stand-up paddleboards) to an OEM roof rack. The straps are extremely durable, and the clips are protected by a rubber sleeve to prevent scratches and mishaps. These straps have made me very happy. They're also long enough to go twice around the board. To keep the 10 7" boards (large) in place, we cross them at the bottom for extra security. If you purchase these, you should have no problems. ☮️.
It's perfect for securing our kayaks to our roof racks quickly and safely. They make it possible for us to lock up and leave in a matter of minutes. There is no comparison to what we've seen others do with other straps. As we buy other toys that require tying, I'll be buying more. options that are reduced That's right, they're that good!.
