The following instructions are for installing Ten millimeters are the size of the nuts. Rather than going through the flat part of the tie, the short leg goes through the longer leg On the side nearest the windshield, which is also known as the "back" of the battery Hooked into a small opening on the body of the car, this thing hangs down. An angled part of the tie connects the long leg and the short leg The area down and ahead of the battery's intake cap, which is the area near the windshield washer There is a little tab on the platform of the battery that attaches to it. It was first necessary to attach the short leg and then the long leg, in order to get everything in place. You should keep it Well, everything seems to be okay. It has a design that stands out from the rest In terms of the down itself, it may leave something to be desired, especially as it takes some finagling to get it in place.
In my old 2005 Subaru Legacy Limited Station Wagon, the previous owner managed to loose the tie down clamp and the battery was held in place with a rubber shock cord. Included in this set of parts is everything needed to secure the battery to the tray and sidewall in perfect condition. The only thing to buy is nothing else. The OEM package fits in perfectly and appears to be an original equipment manufacturer package. If it weren't for the fact that it is shiny and new, another way to tell that it is a 12-year-old car would be to look at the interior. How reassuring is it to know your battery will not die when you hit a pothole or dodge a deer in the evening? It is not the case. You can get this for a low cost and it's.
As I had a 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, the original battery tie down came loose, but was all rusted. This meant I couldn't loosen the nuts and put the tie down The replacement kit fit perfectly (had all the pieces I needed) and seemed to work flawlessly.
Unfortunately, they do not have 'J' hooks of any length that can be used. There is room for the long hook. There's a good chance I'll need to return this kit or buy another one in order to make this work. Thanks, Amazon! I sincerely apologize for this error.
You will find everything you need to replace a rusty or corroded battery tie down with this kit. There is nothing inherently wrong with this kit, but it requires four hands to handle. The parts hold the battery in place perfectly and are OEM parts. This is a highly recommended product.
During my Subie battery replacement, I had to replace a cell. This was a great replacement for the rusted bolts that snapped off from the original holddown bars. It was inexpensive, and easy to install.
I'm satisfied.
