Questions & Answers

Is there a color other than purple that they come in?

They don't, but if you install them and leave your shift boot on, they won't be visible.

What makes the year 1881 different from the year 1893? Do they replace different bushings or do they perform the same function?

The bushings on the end of the shift cables that connect to the transmission are replaced with 1881. Rubber bushings that connect the shifter to the chassis are replaced by 1893. They have different purposes, but they both help to stabilize a swaying sensation. They're great together, but they're also good on their own.

Is this compatible with a Civic Si from the year 2012?

I believe it does, but I am not 100% certain.

Is this for a Honda Civic Ex Sedan from 2011? 8l?

Yes, if it's an instruction manual.

Make a financial plan
4/5

It's hard to tell. Make a financial plan. The 15-minute installation time was not worth it. Almost as good as the original. I'm a Honda guy who enjoys this sort of thing, but this is such a minor change that it's not even worth mentioning.

It was well worth the money
5/5

Along with selector bushings and amsoil synchromesh, these bushings completely transformed the shifting feel of my 2007 Si. These are something I would recommend to anyone who owns a Civic. The only drawback is that it's easy to lose track of the small pieces and have to go looking for them. Because they're made of aluminum, you can't use a magnet to get them. I dropped one of the bottom pieces and spent the next 30 minutes chasing it down. One of the seats and some of the carpet had to be pulled up, and even that was difficult because it was hidden beneath a heater vent that runs to the back footwells. Just don't drop them, or you'll turn a 10-minute job into a 45-minute project. a job that takes 60 minutes.

These base bushings have helped tighten up my shifter, which was a bit difficult to install but well worth the effort
5/5

Each shift is more precise and less muddy than the previous ones. Because I had never opened the center console before, the installation was a little tricky. I strongly advise you to completely unbolt the center console and reposition it several inches back. Taking off the shift boot by itself does not leave much room for working, especially if you have large hands. I was able to easily install all of the bushings, as well as pick up pieces from the old bushings I had dropped, once the center console was fully opened. Overall, this is a simple change that improves the driving experience significantly.

No jokes! With other reviews, I wasn't too upset at first
5/5

br>But man, it makes a huge difference. It feels solid as a rock and there is no movement. Like a pro, you're ripping through the gears. Get the cable bushing as well; it's a must. I did, and now I'm looking for more from this company.

Shifting is a snappy experience
5/5

The installation was simple and straightforward, and the bushings appear to be of excellent quality. There is no difference in daily driving (when I double clutch), but when I shift harder, the feeling is a lot more precise and notchy. It's fantastic!.

Shifting that is more sporty
5/5

These are so simple, but they make a huge difference in how your shifter feels and how stiff it is. I didn't expect them to make such a significant difference, but wow, they did. I installed them in my 2006 Civic SI, along with a short shifter adapter. I recommend doing both at the same time because it's the best money you'll ever spend on shift improvement (aside from a tuner).

Base Bushings for the Acuity Shifter
5/5

Because I did not take a photo of the product installed, the photo does not do it justice. However, there is a noticeable difference in the sensation of changing gears.

It's a good idea to pick it up as soon as possible
5/5

TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD TO GET THE ACUITY BASE ALUMINUM BUSHINGS FOR AN 06 SI TRANSMISSION REBUILT. AN IMPROVEMENT WILL BE VISIBLE. I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY SHIFT CABLE BUSHINGS TO COME IN SO THAT THE CAR WILL SHIFT EVEN BETTER. ALL CARS HAVE DETAILS, AND THE SI SHIFTER REQUIRES THESE ESSENTIAL MODIFICATIONS.
