It's not possible to work on Harley-Davidson transmissions without OTC's 5 speed main drive gear tool set

Installs the main bearing without removing the transmission main drive gear and main bearing installation removes and stores the transmission main drive gear

Do you think that it will work for a Dyna FXD What year did this happen? 1992? I am not sure what the "06 dyna term" is about. Does it refer only to the dyna 2006?

It was the 2006 Dyna that had 6 speed transmissions 2007 Softtails and 2002 and newer FLT chassis got them as well *br>The tool you have purchased should work fine on your 92 FXD.

I do not believe it will. According to the tool description, it is a "5 speed main drive gear tool."

I found instructions for the Jim's Tool on line to cover the specifics of this tool, but there are no instructions with this tool.

As far as I'm concerned, I have no complaints. I rebuilt the 5 speed transmission in my Ultra Classic with the new tooling and everything worked as it should.
