Although it has a capped opening, its location on my 1992 W250 makes it difficult to place a probe there. On my truck, the temperature probe is installed into the transmission body above the cover.
It does not include a filter, but it does include a lowering block.

It's perfect in terms of shape, finish, and fit. But in terms of functionality, it's a big juicy nothingburger. I bought the pan for my 06 Cummins in the hopes that the extra capacity and finned design would help keep the trans cooler, especially when towing. Unfortunately, it appears to have had no effect, as trans temperatures continue to rise at the same rate as before. So I've got a fancy-schmancy-schmancy-schmancy-schm My transmission has a snazzy $300 aluminum pan hanging off the bottom that no one can see and that does nothing. This is probably not the solution you're looking for if you want to cool off your tranny. However, if you want to keep up with your goofy buddy who bought one for his Powerstroke and because it's super cool to have a snazzy aluminum aftermarket cool- Fork over $300 for a set of kid parts that serve no purpose. Having said that, the quality is truly exceptional. notch.
This thing is a hulk of a machine. It took me a while to get it up into place (working alone), but once I did, I started tightening the bolts after making sure the gasket was properly aligned with the holes. I took my time and worked in an alternating pattern around the pan. When I first started tightening the bolts (without a torque wrench), I tightened them until they felt snug enough and then stopped (use a torque wrench to ensure you don't overtighten them if you want). I ran the pan around for a while after filling it up to the brim, no leaks, and the dipstick showed full (success). With temperatures in the 100s, I'll be running it around more to see how it reacts to the heat.
The temperature is 20 degrees. The pan is well-made, with a milled mounting area and heavy-duty cast aluminum. There will be no leaks! At the very least, 15-percentage points will be dropped. The temperature in the trans is 20 degrees. br>I tow a 16,500 trailer with a 2000 Dodge 47RE with engine and transmission mods, and I can't get the trans temperature above 180 degrees after installing this pan. The temperature had been in the 205-degree range in the previous few days. a 215 degree range with an ambient temperature of 2095 degrees pulling 7% grade When towing heavy loads, this is a must-have accessory for all 46, 47, and 48RE transmissions. With this pan, you can make 10 quarts of ATF 4. When performing this modification, make sure to adjust your bands and replace the filter.
It was necessary to purchase a. It's the second time I've done it. I had to buy a new one because I couldn't remove the drain plug from the old one - and I gave it my all! I was tired of lowering the full pan and getting trans oil all over the place (I'd had the previous one for 4 years). As far as I can tell, the manufacturer now specifies that the drain plug should only be finger tight.
Not bad; I especially like the oil drain plug and the additional oil capacity. I only lowered the temperature of my transmission by 7 degrees. In town, it's ten degrees. I'm using Royal Purple as my maximum atf.
I lowered my temperatures by ten degrees. When towing and driving in the city, 15 degrees is critical.
Although I have not yet installed it, this is a substantial piece of aluminum. I was hesitant due to the cost, but this is a nice, heavy-duty, well-made pan!.
This is an excellent skillet. The filter shown in the picture is not included. Purchase an OEM gasket because the one that came with it was leaking. I also purchased both of the different covers. For my 2006 Ram 3500 with 48re, I needed 10 quarts.
