My clamp assembly failed due to corrosion after about 25 years due to a screw that was holding the clamping plate in place. I've got an exterior diaphragm on my bulkhead mount that is worn from weather, but it's not critical to the pump's operation. Availability of replacement parts and ease of assembly/disassembly make the unit convenient for repair. As far as lifetime gallonage is concerned, I wouldn't be concerned until When that happens, the pumper is the first to wear out.
There is a pumping diaphragm The kit did not include a seal for the deck plate.
There were a couple of tears in the diaphragm on my pump because the rubber had deteriorated over time. have no idea how old it is It took about 30 minutes to remove and clean the pump, install new rubber parts, and reinstall the pump. It may be time to install this repair kit if yours makes a loud sucking or hissing noise when you pump.

The diaphragm, inlet and outlet valves had to be replaced, and it was a fairly straightforward task. When I did it the first time, I made a mistake that had to be corrected Assemble the parts again.
I received what I expected.
