It is best to dismantle the pump before trying to remove the screws etc. As we age, rust can accumulate on parts. I recommend that you take the pump apart first to see if you can remove the screws without damaging them. It may be possible to order a repair kit if that can be done. During that time, my pump ran continuously for four hours Water from a well has been used for five years. In the winter, I must drain my system as well. All the loose rust from the housing was chipped off after disassembly. Take a look at the directions. I cleaned everything very carefully and reassembled it. Keep your fasteners in place without overtightening them. turned on the pump and kept a continuous flow of water in it as I turned it on for the first time. Now, it has run every day without a hitch for two months. In the future, I will buy from you.
When we are used to foot pound torque wrenches, inch pounds are used in the video. The only one I broke was luckily small. In the end, it was able to be saved, and the pump is working now! Having a faulty pressure switch caused a seal kit to be needed. And, we ran the pump for almost a week while we were on vacation without closing any valves! It is also helpful to have a sturdy flat blade screw driver on hand to pry the shaft from the back to get the old seal / diffuser off. You will need plenty of space behind the pump to use the screwdriver to hold the shaft securely. Because I had to repair the pump on a table, I removed it and fixed it there. As much as I wanted to have a repair done in place, I couldn't. It was not to be!.
It took about 10 minutes for this part to seized when I tried to install it. I'd return it if the timeout were not so short. In addition, the pump was fully primed when it was installed. The impellers of several of these pumps I have had over the years have not failed, but they now seem to last just a few The irrigation system is used by me.
A job is a job.
As long as I didn't have to repair the pump so frequently (about every four years) I would give Wayne Pumps 5 stars!.
It's good to hear.
