This seal was purchased for a 1993 Jeep XJ with a Dana 35 in the rear axle, and it fit perfectly. br>I doubt you have that axle in front of your ZJ, but this seal might work on other vehicles.
This is for the Dana 35 rear axle; the Dana 35 is only a rear axle, while the Dana 30 is the front axle.
Yes, it will fit if you have a Dana 35. Mine was a perfect fit.
This is designed to fit the Dana 35 axle in the back.

There isn't much to say about this product except that it does the job, which is to say that it doesn't leak. This seal was installed in my 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ Sport with a DANA 35 rear axle by myself. It's been six months now, and no leaks have been discovered. I had previously installed an AutoZone-purchased pinion seal. The AutoZone seal came with a pre-installed adhesive. It had a gasket (red ring) on it, and the seal was leaking. So, if you're in need of a seal and were considering going to AutoZone, I strongly advise against it.
The quality of the seal was excellent - However, it turned out to be the incorrect one. I placed my order with a glass of wine. no, and it's still incorrect. The guy at San Rafael Napa was cool and said, "the book says three kinds, we have all three, bring the old one in," which I did after ordering two. However, it was not the right one for me. note: If you need to replace a pinion seal, make sure the stores are open and there are plenty of them. It's only $8?.
Used on a 1990 Jeep Wrangler with a Dana 35 and it works perfectly.
Although the seal appeared to be of good quality, the inside diameter is too large for my Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ's Dana 35.
It did exactly what it said it would do. It appears to be of a high standard. For the last 200 miles, there have been no leaks.
Fits perfectly in the rear differential of a 1995 Jeep Wrangler. There will be no leaks anymore.
It worked perfectly to fix a pinion leak in the Jeep Cherokee's Dana 35 rear axle.
Good Fit.
