The five in the list I'm not sure I put there 100% of the time. ARP provides excellent customer service to those who need help locating a 9 Cummins with Allison flex plate.

The fact that it does not matter hardly matters to me, but just to clarify, will these work with the 48re or are they only for the manual transmission?

Using them with an aftermarket flex plate, I used them on my 47RE. A flex plate's lifespan will likely be determined by the year and flex plate's material.

In the end, I was left with a loss. There was a question asking if all eight bolts were included. The answer was that yes they are. Having seen it first hand, I can tell you it only comes with six. It is unnecessary to replace six of my original bolts with these and then use the remaining two stock original bolts. I will not use them, so they are just sitting.
