It is suitable for the 2 wheel drive 2 door 2006 Toyota Tundra XSP double cab. The center-section of my automobile was replaced I bought this support bearing from the local part store about 9 months ago. While I was installing it, the dust cover rubbed against the drive shaft as it spun. There was initially a queeking noise, but this quickly turned into a whine. I think that even though the slight rub had gone silent, it continued to generate heat because the rubber mount eventually melted, so I had to replace it once more. I thought this would be a good replacement for the original bearing, since it had a cone-shaped dust cover that flared outwards from the bearing. The picture of this one looked like it had the right dust cover, so I decided to try it. Having driven it for a week now, I can attest to its quality. It was quiet after driving, and there was no vibration or heat. It has been told to me that the one with the flared dust cover made for 2WD trucks is the one I should go with. In addition, there is a dust cover that looks like a cylinder with an inwardly bent lip for vehicles only equipped with 4WD.
the purchase for a 2000 Toyota Tundra 2 wheel drive installed by myself and 2 other mechanics was very tight upon installation which we compensated for not more than a half a mile the bearing melted out of the rubber housing and I had to install the old one until another one arrived.
As a result of just one drive, the result was incorrect. At the time, it seemed like the deal was great. It looks like the saying "You get what you pay for" is true. I had to buy a new part".
We're talking about the bearing itself here. It does not have a seal of any kind. Besides the seals, there are two other metal pieces pressed into place. I had problems with these seals on my truck because they were too tight to allow the bearing to spin inside the rubber mount when the bearing grabbed onto the yoke. I could hear it squealing and it would get very
I ended up reusing my old bearing that was sealed and pressed on the two metal flares. I also used the rubber mount I had purchased.
The rubber shroud had been misshapen and improperly pressed into its.
The price of Toyota was much higher than expected.
Although it was a bit of a chore to install, we saved a lot by doing it ourselves.
