Omix-Ada 16917.01 Clutch Housing Cover

It is well known in the Jeeper community that Omix parts are poorly fitted and poorly made. It is the only aftermarket source I know of for this specific part, so I have no choice but to order this, scavenge a used part, or fabricate one or accept no service. I'm happy to report that this part fits perfectly and seems to be The price is pretty high for a stamped piece of steel, which is why I have to mark it down a bit due to the uneven quality of the Omix line. Further, Omix claims, incorrectly, that this cover is incompatible for my 1982 J20, despite the fact that the Jeep factory parts manual clearly states this part as J3213744, a cover for a 1997 J20. Having problems with Omix parts is another common problem.

A perfect alignment of the bolt holes has been achieved. It looks decent, and the quality is decent. A perfect alignment of the bolt holes has been achieved. In order to trim the large rectangular piece at the top of the bag, I had to cut it down to size. The end of this rectangular piece has a form of a radius near the bottom. If you look closely at this picture, you can see this. All of my cuts fit perfectly after that because I cut along the radius. Thank you for your kind words, Omix This is a feature Ada provides. Let's hope they can figure out the replacement fuel temperature gauge and the replacement water temperature gauge for CJ.
