My Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2008 started making a loud squeal noise when it first started making a noise, and has become increasingly worse since then. It was told to me by a mechanic buddy that to get to the throw out bearing, you will need to drop the transmission, so if you are going to change the throw out bearing,, you should replace the clutch as well. My original order for a Clutch replacement kit was of a standard brand for a Jeep, but the bearing that came with the kit was cheap and light weight. The Center Force Throw out Bearing was on Amazon, and it had all the good reviews, so I ordered this part to top off My results were vastly different between the Center force and Kit bearings as soon as I got the throw out bearing. While the kit bearing is made up of a lightweight piece of metal, the Center force bearing is made of heavy metal. My initial reaction to the quality and strength of the clutch was so good that I returned the complete kit clutch and ordered the Center Force I have seen on many Jeep forums that the Center Force clutch may be overkill in a Jeep Wrangler, and I believe that may be the case It's my experience that you get what you pay for with the center force clutch and throw out Center Force is the most expensive clutch available, but if you're looking for quality, spend the extra money and invest in this clutch. In 2008, I had 197k miles on my JK, and like any Jeep Wrangler owner who wants to see 400k - I would love to see 400k on mine. Make sure the parts are the best ones and it will last you 500k miles. for the clutch pressure, it's excellent, not too stiff, not too weak, but you have plenty of pedal feel. The shifting is fast and smooth, like a sport car When I used the old clutch, I had trouble finding reverse mode. Now, I can find reverse as easily and quickly as before. I recommend that when you need to replace the clutch, you select Center force and Center force Bearing.

Having trouble figuring out what the issue is though. This clutch does not seem to be as reliable as it should be. This faulty clutch kit was removed on Feb 23rd, and a Spec 2 clutch kit was installed instead. We have solved the problem. Thank you so much for refunded my $, Amazon is awesome. The clutch was ruined when my slave cylinder sprung a leak and the disc was damaged. The TOB was too loud after that happened. I bought this to replace the clutch. My wife and I read the reviews and decided to purchase this Centerforce for our While I was on break, I babyed this thing- A period is defined as a time I had no problems shifting to first and reverse gear for 500 miles, but then, a few months later, I did not shift to either The car wouldn't go into gear, and my wife was left sitting at a stoplight. * Replaced three slave cylinders, the master cylinder, and the main cylinder Once, I replaced a brake cylinder and bled the system for hours and weeks thinking there was a problem with the hydraulics. Initially I thought I had a transmission issue, but I discovered that Centerforce clutch problems can be found on Jeep JKs. As it turns out, I found a number of people going through the exact same thing I was. The majority of people who replaced their Centerforce clutch with another brand or stock clutch reported that their problem of first and reverse shifting was resolved. It's going to be a long process until the summer, and I'm likely to need to pull the Tranny again to see what's happening. However, I have the feeling I will be buying another clutch soon.

I advise you not to There is nothing good about this clutch

The pressure plate went out three weeks after I installed it in my 2008 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon when my throw out bearing failed. This was only during normal driving operations the clutch never saw any off-roading activity, and it only had less than 1000 miles on it.

I received it on time. I installed it and it produced a consistent clicking noise. The clicking stopped when I removed the old part, purchased a new one from the auto shop, and installed it. Don't buy auto parts on Amazon. Lesson learned don't buy parts on Amazon.

The clutch is a good replacement for OEM clutches
5/5

The clutch is a good replacement for OEM clutches. Compared to the last clutch, this one is much lighter, and it will take some time to adjust My opinion is that it is well worth the purchase. Purchase the higher priced kits instead of the lower priced ones. I can assure you that you will.

It works great for me and I like it

My only complaint is that the transmission pops into gear as abruptly as it does. But since it is more for racing than rock crawling, I dont mind it.

The clutch has a good quality feel, it is soft, and it has a good point of grab.
