I am three weeks later and I have not seen or heard a drop of fluid leak from my clutch.
After bleeding the system six times, it is full of air once more within an hour. Having taken it apart, cleaned, and lubricated it a second time, it didn't work. The joy was not there. There's nothing I can do about this part. I will order one from another manufacturer and return this.
This was ordered as a replacement for an extremely leaky, 30-volt system The year is The clutch master cylinder on my 1988 Wrangler Sahara is an old OE model. Taking the install from start to finish lasted about 30 minutes All of this was explained, along with bleeding the clutch system after the new master cylinder was installed. It has been a few months since the new master cylinder was installed and it continues to work without issue. There has not been a single drop of fluid lost and the action is smooth and straightforward.
The delivery was quick and the part fit like the original.
It worked in my 1989 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I ordered another and it worked just fine. Blood would not be shed. A similar one was ordered and it worked fine. Dorman needs to fix their quality control. You can read reviews online. Now it has happened to two of us to be unable to bleed the master cylinder. Possibly if it were made in the United States, the device would have worked right away.
I like it.
