Selected User Reviews For Dorman CM350032 Clutch Master Cylinder
For the Ford clutch master cylinder on 92-97 vehicles, this is the most reliable part I have found This series dates back to 1996. Metal is used for the rod and cast metal is used for the housing assembly. I have never seen a replacement that compares to the factory and I have never seen one that is better. After bench bleeding it and installing it in less than 30 minutes, it worked great. It was even easier than bleed the slave cylinder under the truck when I didn't need to crawl under it. Comparatively to my last one, the new one has just the right feel to it and has just the right stroke. If I could, I would give it six stars, especially if it weren't made in I had a last one that was a NAPA part and had the plastic rod that was connected to the clutch pivot arm under the dash made of. I was left on the side of the road twice due to a plastic rod that ruptured twice. This part, too, was made in China. Although they followed Ford's lead on choosing plastic over US steel in the original design, they improved upon it where Ford and his fellow limp wrist engineers sacrificed quality for cost saving. In case you need to get the clutch on your Bronco, F250, or 350 working, this part will do the job. At the pivot joint on the rod, I also used a Heim joint from Diesel Brothers. It's working perfectly now and I have a feeling that it'll be able to last even beyond me. My hope is that this will help someone who is struggling with the same issue I had and will alleviate.
removed the old one and since this metallic one is metal, we decided to install it all at once. In addition to the push rod, the one we replaced was made of plastic. I could have it up in 20 minutes because of the material and the ease of installation. I recommend it!.
An '93 Ford F150 with a 5-speed manual transmission It is a manual transmission. Rod did not come back fully, but fit was fine. Bleeding was painful, so be sure to be careful. There is nothing plastic about the pushrod - it is made of all metal The photo shows metal and plastic, not metal and plastic.
Rods made of metal are far superior, and they are also cheaper.
It gets a five star rating from me. Despite its well-packaged arrival, it was not damaged. Thousands of parts were available so that I could get my truck back up and running quickly. The system is doing its job now that it has been bled. The product is great, and the price is good too.
I was able to fit it perfectly into my 1995 F150. Please be sure to bleed the system well, or your pedal may go too far down for it.
It cost $189 at my local auto parts store for the exact same item. Even though I waited two days to have my truck fixed, I saved a lot of money. I installed it without any problems.
It was simple and easy to install in my 1995 Ford F 150 in only 20 minutes.
