4runner, even with the casting markings. In total, I drove 302,046 miles on this original MC. The mileage on this one is also 302,046, so more to go. You CAN'T go wrong with this!.
The price is fair, and the quality is good. This choice is impossible to make wrong. It took me 15 minutes to get back on the road once it was installed.
In accordance with the Aisin CMT-model The OEM clutch master cylinder for a 1997 Toyota 4Runner 5spd is type 094. Exactly as expected, the fitment was perfect. I didn't bother bench bleed first and it went smoothly. Threading the hydraulic line in by hand first is a good idea before tightening the nuts, as it's very difficult to start if you do not have the mounting nuts exactly lined up.
I was able to replace it in a matter of minutes. A 1996 Toyota 4runner is fitted with this unit. One of the reservoirs had an extra part, some sort of black bobber thing, that I hadn't noticed I was missing from my master.
Despite the fact that my 4runner has 220k miles on it, I had to replace my clutch and master cylinder. I was confident I was replacing both critical car parts with as-new ones since Aisin is a stock part on Toyota vehicles. Naturally, bleeding is a painful and time-consuming procedure, and it works best when two people do it, but the parts work correctly. It would be a great idea to buy.
As an original supplier to Toyota, Aisin was identified as the item I chose. I found this master cylinder to be an exact match to my original. The swap out went smoothly and stopped working after a short period.
I tested it on an 88 Toyota 4x4 and it worked perfectly.
I'm having trouble finding a car cover for my 1997 4runner.
