There is no kit in the product description as I can find - I don't know why it says that. In the package you will find just the Lock Nut. In contrast, the Dorman Nut has an internal lock which is not part of the factory cap nut, but is a part of the nut itself. It is not necessary to have a retainer. br>The spindle nuts need to be removed/tightened with a 1/2" x 36mm impact socket. (TEKTON An impact socket with a deep drive of 36 mm, inch drive Spindle Nuts must be torqued to 225-250 in order to ensure proper operation (available from Amazon) It is 250 the pound. You may wish to repeat the process for best results When you come to the end of 1,000 miles, tighten both spindle nuts.
You have no option but to get one of these once the old nut has been removed. These support their new wheel hub while you are installing it. You can achieve peace of mind and time savings by spending a couple of dollars.
In this case, the stud will be destroyed. Choose a retainer nut with a floating washer that has the OEM seal.

This tool was used to install wheel hubs on my 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII.
To remove and install them correctly, you will need a 36mm socket breaker bar and a torque wrench. It would be fine if I bought them again in the future.
Everything seemed to work as it should. There is only one thing that makes me nervous the original engineered bushings had a swiveling washer so any movement of the bushing would not impact The problem with this one has been resolved.
