My 2012 Kia Rio was the perfect match for the Switch. I was surprised at how easy it was to install. A youtube video showed me how to do it - I just followed along that way Less than 25 minutes were needed to complete the task. Having opened my hatchback again, I can now leave the house. There is a good chance this switch will be built better than the original.

Unless your Rio has a backup camera, this is not a direct fit

My 2013 Kia Rio had a damaged trunk switch, so I used this part to replace it. In my car, the trunk release switch is wired directly to the backup camera and the backup camera has its own wiring. The wiring of the new switch had to be connected to the original wiring to make it.
