As it stands, it is difficult to tell whether this is actually an original Beck Arnley TPS item or if it is simply packaged in a Beck Arnley box that says made in Taiwan, as no markings are on the actual product. Beck Arnley 158-157 was on the Beck Arnley website In the box for the 0527 switch, it said it was made in the USA, but according to the box, it is actually When I set the adjustment, the switch checked out with the ohm meter. There is no reason to believe it will If I decide to buy Denso again, I'll go with that.
This product was delivered very quickly, and I was very pleased with it. As soon as I opened it and measured it with a voltmeter, I found that it was defective. In this case, it would not comply with specification. My first thought was something was messing up so I checked another unit that was also working perfectly. After reviewing my second unit, I discovered that the first unit was defective altogether. I returned it for an exchange and hope the second one will work just fine. I had no problems with the exchange which was great. However, I was not entirely thrilled with the defected part.
I wasted a lot of time and money on that. After spending my weekend repairing the broken belt I wasn't able to install the part that came out of the box. A dead body was found upon arrival. I got to the point where my return window was closed. Moreover, it seemed like the item I received had been used or repackaged possibly a return that had been sold again to an unsuspecting customer, me.
The price is great.
Does not send a signal to PCM.
I save a lot of money by using this instead of Denso parts for I was able to fix the "dead spot" in my initial With an Ohmmeter, this was determined to be one hundred percent accurate.
It is pure junk I guess. There is a damaged box (with the part number on it) with a part in it that I can't identify (could be a part that is incomplete). This is a low-quality packaging for an electronic component that is supposedly important.
