One cable from the tool must be hooked up to the positive terminal of the battery, and the other cable must be connected to the ignition A cranking sound is heard when the tool's button is depressed (the location on the tool varies with each manufacturer). *br>Get to know the risks! Be sure the ignition is off, that the vehicle is in park, and that the e brake is engaged. As a result, the vehicle may begin to roll and cause a collision
I'm not sure what year your car is, but most cars have at least As long as there are two wires, you should connect them to the solenoid, or the two wires if there is just a starter. It connects to two wires already present on the starter
Based on the exterior and interior, I believe it is made in China with outsourced components assembled in the United States. In spite of that, I think it's a decent film The tool is a simply rubber case with a push button in it and clips and wires. There's nothing wrong with the way it is made no matter where it is
In short, yes. In contrast to automotive switches that are voltage dependent, this switch does not require any voltage. You need a lot of amperage to run it. You will be fine as long as you are using it to actuate the solenoid. The only reason I mentioned the amperage issue is that I saw one beginning technician attach it to the battery lug and to the starter wire lug on the opposite side. The contacts will burn and be rendered useless as a result.

When I began working on the wiring harness, I needed some way to turn the engine over so that I could find top dead center and start it. As soon as you take it out of the box, it looks well built. It does not appear that the clips are of poor quality, but the switch seems to be A thick gauge wire and the ability to handle a large amount of energy also impressed me. During the winter last year, I noticed the switch getting warm when I kept kicking the engine. In all, I started the car up at least half a dozen times with the starter switch. I hooked up the switch to the positive terminal of the battery and connected the other end to the starter side of the solenoid, just like last year, and the car started, but it didn't run like an Optima battery should on a 920cc engine. It cranked up very slowly and then shut off. My hand became so hot that I quickly removed the clips from the switch so that it would cool down. The switch immediately began to smoke, and I placed it on the ground. It quickly cooled down, and I reconnect the clips. A closer look revealed that the rubber shroud that encloses the switch was now very loose fitting, whereas before it fit snugly. The burning smell was also very strong. I was curious to find out if the switch would still work after a period of cooling. Double-checking the charge in the battery and re-connecting the switch, I ended up with a charged battery. There was no light coming from the LED and pressing the starter button had no effect. Overall, this switch ran smoothly for my last year, but this year it failed before it even got a chance to be used. It has barely been 9 months since this switch. After I bought the car in August of last year, I worked on it until November of that year. Toward the end of May, I began working again on the project. I bought this switch when I wanted something decent in quality that could last at least one project. These days, however, everything seems to be disposable. The good news is, it worked very well when I used it last year for 6 to 8 times, but not so much this year. One star is all I can give it. In total, I spent close to $43 on it, so $5 per start is close to what I paid.
I am impressed with the quality of this A comfortable grip with a positive press button, nice 5' long insulated leads, decent spring clips with fully soldered connections, and a red indicator light that indicates the circuit is hot round out the package. has a good power rating, and there's even a 'use only in neutral' warning near the button ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Every aspect of the business is considered by OTC. When used correctly on starter motor solenoids (don't connect it to ground, or inline between the battery and main starter motor terminals, or across the battery terminals, etc. ), this is a high quality tool that will last for a very long time. It's not clear what it means by 'Made in the USA with globally sourced components,' but I'm pretty sure that's what the components are that come from China, just like most everything else that comes from So not complaining. It's still a good tool for a good price, so I can't really complain. I think it would have been nice to have them on). By the way. The remote starter switch is not usually used to actually 'start' an engine, but simply to crank it over, for example. I'm all right). This is a recommended product without a doubt.
switch was obvious to me when I received it because of its weight and heavy wiring. My use of this system was to bleed the fuel injectors on a diesel boat engine that has the installed ignition switch at the pilot station, several feet from the engine. The ignition switch never felt hot during use, given the fact that I was sending a high It's also nice to have the red indicator light on the switch to indicate that it's in good working condition. I strongly recommend this switch to anyone who needs an upstart switch for heavy duty applications.
A good job was done by this item. An end is attached to the cylinder and the other end is attached to the cylinder Hit the button on the other end of the cable that went to the alternator and it started. There is nothing between the ignition and the starter when you do this, but do not do it too often or you will burn something out. The mechanic can see what's going on with the vehicle if you take this video to them Here are a few reasons to choose your car A semi truck is what I used it for, or what I used it for My semi-truck won't start, so I used my truck to figure out the problem and saved myself from having to call a tow truck. I just wanted to mention that the tow would have been a 2 There is a 3 hour wait then a There is a tow truck that weighs 500 pounds. Can this product justify the price of $47?.
Not only can it be used to turn the starting solenoid over, but it can be used to bench test if the starters are bad by hooking power connector and ground wire to the starter and using a remote to take the place of the starter. In the future, I will use this quite a bit.
This remote starter really appeals to me. As it comes wrapped in a rubber sleeve, it has some sort of cushion if it falls. It's easy to tell if it's connected to the starter by the red light it emits.
The Snap-on he had been using was lost The OTC was incredibly well made for the price he paid. He said, "oh, that's an OTC. " Usually this happens when something is overpriced. There is good stuff made by them.
It is very sturdy and works great. Product is well shielded and sturdy. I am very happy with the alligator clip leads. As well, the leads are definitely of heavy weight and will last for a long time. Just a great product. Oh, and one more thing, the power indicator light is great.
