Remove yourself from the situation. This is the second time I've purchased it. Unfortunately, until I received it, I had forgotten that I had purchased the same one six months before. I was in desperate need of an o e and didn't want to wait for another, so I used three zip ties to secure it. It had been impossible to get it to work properly before that. br>br> To begin with, the outer and inner parts are difficult to put on and take off. I put them together before installing them, and it took me an hour in my workshop with a variety of tools to disassemble them without breaking anything. br>br>After that, I spent another hour or so attempting to get them to connect to each other more easily so that once installed in the car, I could remove the outer part if necessary. I shaved a small amount of her hair and then went from there. Adjustments were made here and there. The spring latch was the only part I didn't touch because I knew it was "delicate. " br>br>After that, I slid the inner part into the car and attempted to press the outer part onto it. The spring latch on the door snapped shut with a click. But, just for fun, I kept trying to see if the stupid thing would even fit. For the life of me, I couldn't get it to stay put. br>br>Eventually, I drilled four holes and secured it with zip ties while I waited for a replacement from a more reputable source and, hopefully, a higher-quality item. br>br>However, what happened to the first one I purchased six months ago? Well, it never sat properly in the first place. As a result, the "key" portion had to be used. Put in place to start or stop the car, then remove because it won't stay in place. It, too, had broken.
"It was a total success! It's a lot easier to put on than a physical key, and it's a lot more convenient. And it's a lot easier than dealing with the dealership!.
Exactly what I needed. In under a minute, you'll have it on! br>I'm overjoyed that I was able to find it on Amazon so quickly! br>It was a huge disappointment when it broke. Now everything is fine and will be in no time.
It arrived quickly and fits my 2011 Mazda CX- As expected, the score was nine. I deducted one star because there were no instructions on how to remove the original part; I spent an hour searching the internet for help (I figured it would just pop off, but I didn't want to break the original piece). Simply slip a small flat head screwdriver (I used two, one for each spot) under the black base and slowly and gently pry it off. The new base is simple to put together. I would recommend it if it came with instructions.
It's a bit flimsy and only lasted 9 months before cracking, but the OEM isn't exactly long-lasting. It's cheap, easy to replace, and arrived the next day, so it's inconvenient, but not a major issue if I have to replace it every year.
For my 2010 Mazda CX9, I needed a replacement part. This worked for a reasonable price, as auto parts websites wanted $40 or more (one wanted $79). This was a good buy.
It's a perfect match for our Mazda CX-5 from 2008. It was purchased to replace the original, which had broken one of the retaining tabs and was no longer holding the item in place. This one lasted about eight months before the retaining tab on it broke as well.
Ineffective, never fits correctly, and is of poor quality. br>Change your location.
