The Jeep Grand Cherokee Ignition Switch needs to be replaced
5/5

Fix it like it's supposed to be done! In the end, the dealership, a local mechanic we use for our other cars, a new battery, and a new starter couldn't fix the problem, which was fixed with an ignition switch that was One piece of tech advice that helped me was to using the steel cable line to guide the part to place the new switch, which is what will be the most difficult. Keep trying, you will fail a dozen times, but it will work in the end. Do not believe silly YouTube promotions that claim it will only take 30 minutes to fix it takes more like two hours. Try not to talk to small children while you are working because your language will traumatize them.

I had the product installed on my Jeep Commander 3 in 2006
5/5

There was a problem with the ignition, it would only click once when it was turned on. The car would start after checking the battery, and I found that it was 12 volts. I turned the key again very slowly and it sounded like it was making contact with the battery. It is good to run the car on 4V without running the engine. When I test the battery, I get a reading of 14. When I start the car, I get a reading of 14. An alternator working at 4V indicates it is in good condition. After removing the starter, we tested it, and it worked perfectly. It was the ignition switch that was problematic, so it was replaced. It was the ignition switch that caused the problem. Thanks for reading! I hope you find this helpful in diagnosing the problem with your vehicle.

The Wrangler 2012 is a great vehicle
5/5

My 2012 Jeep was having intermittent starting issues. This fixed it for me. Occasionally, my Jeep would make a single click sound but not turn over. I have no idea why this happens. My battery, starter, and connections were all fine before I replaced it.

Thanks to it, my car feels different today when turning the key now and I haven't had any problems since then.

I really enjoyed reading this Despite being just two pages, the manual is really well done with pictures
4/5

It actually worked better than I learned from YouTube, but the reason I gave 4 stars was that the actuator positions inside were set to "off" while the manual said to turn the key in the "run" It wasn't a perfect fit, so I had to rotate it with a flat head screw. It may be necessary to change the actuator position whether it is manual or factory set.

Applied this fix to my 2005 Grand Cherokee with great results! Exactly what I was looking for in a replacement for my 2005 My issues with the flickering dash were solved after I figured out the cause
5/5

This is not an easy install, it takes some maneuvering to get the ignition down into a workable space and even more maneuvering to fix it back up again. I think it's worth it in the end. I liked the product. It did the job well.

It works as it should
5/5

Installing the product is complicated, but not because of the product itself, but rather because of how the car is being designed. I was able to get it working in four weeks. It can be said that the cost has done its job well. Several of these units were installed on 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokees.

I expected it to work
5/5

Basically, I bought it to solve my problem where my computer just doesn't start randomly. My transmission shifter position sensor ruled out the problem and I have since found the cause of the problem. In general, installing this switch is pretty easy, with the help of a YouTube video, and it works very well.

Worked fine, but there was a heavy turn at the end, and I'm not sure if that's because it's a new technology
4/5

When I bought the ignition switch, I thought it would be the problem with not sending the signal to the starter. However, after taking everything apart the problem happened to be the ignition actuator, so since it was considered one job and I already had the part, I changed both at one time. My car key works fine, but it seems a little heavy to turn, which makes me wonder if the original switch was softer, so I got this one. The actuator broke, and I'm not sure if it works with this one. I was wondering how long it would last for both aftermarket ignition switches and damage to the actuator sooner in the process.
