Although I have very high standards when it comes to auto parts, $500 for the Genuine VW part was just out of the question to me. As reviews for this were generally positive, I decided to give it a try. As you can see, it has the same casting marks, barcode, and numbers as the (original) one I removed from the car. The fit is perfect, and it performs As a former technician, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. I suspect that it's made by the same supplier that VW/Audi uses and is just sold under a no-name brand.
