Aftermarket sensor that works great
5/5

The best of the rest. Some of these, both OEM and cheaper alternatives on ebay, I have had a look at. A part of the OEM one I had broke while I was I bought the ebay part from eBay, but it broke on the plastic to cast lug joint. According to further inspection, the ebay ones with the copper leads inside were terrible, having bad plastic casting and a lot of high spots which caught the wiper and caused it to break. When I installed an old OEM sensor, I broke the lug thread castings because they were old and worn out. It is nice to be able to get a new sensor that is well made and all castings and plastics are perfect, all copper leads well exposed, and it comes In order to thoroughly inspect the parts before installation, I disassembled them. In the past few months, I have had enough troubles and strandings due to snowy weather that I needed to be sure, and I was not Don't forget to apply antisieze to the transmission lug and sensor, if for no other reason than it makes removing them simple. Please also make certain you do not tighten the index nut when you are setting the sensor depth. You have to use the lock nut lightly threaded and a small hammer to tap the wiper lug on which the sensor will sit. There are some parts in these zinc/magnesium cast parts that aren't up to snuff of what they used to be. If you tap on or poke the housing, you will damage it. It takes two people to set the index, so have someone in the seat shift the gear into reverse so that you can check the center of the indicator when the reverse lights come on, and then shift to 1 when they go out. The sensor stop limits can be found by parking in 2 and checking to make sure the wiper doesn't break when.

It works like a charm! It is great value for the money that I paid for the product, I was surprised by how much the local and online resellers were charging for this same product

There is a 98 Cherokee Sport left! Amazon lists this part as not fitting my Jeep, and that is the only critique I have
5/5

It was the right part, plus it was well packaged so that it wasn't damaged during shipping. The part was in new condition when I received it and was completely intact. I installed it in no time flat and little pumpkin loves to roll on the trails and street!.

I did not find this useful
3/5

It was defective, and Amazon said it wouldn't fit my 97 Cherokee, but the descriptions said it would fit and the reviews said it would, so I took a chance and added it to my cart anyway. In first contact with the company, they said it was not for my Jeep, then they later came back and said it would work. Between those two incidents, I received a refund and was told to dispose of the money. am not able to complain about their customer service, since I ordered one from someone else rather than from them.

It was a good value for the price
4/5

I was impressed by the quality of the unit. Compared to other suppliers, it is reasonably priced. It had an indication on the package that it was made in Taiwan, rather than mainland China, which I consider to be a The Starter Control did permit starting in Park as soon as I installed it, but not Having the unit start in neutral is not something I need or would be using, so I decided to keep it.

This was a perfect fit for my 98 Jeep Cherokee sport
5/5

I ordered this for my 98 Jeep Cherokee sport. The reviews on the product suggested that it wouldn't fit my 98 Jeep Cherokee, but I took the chance because Amazon said it wouldn't fit. Whenever I came to my car, the check engine light came on and I got a code P0705 for I replaced the sensor in my Jeep and my vehicle started just fine in park and neutral, but didn't shift into overdrive. The check engine light hasn't come back on since I replaced the sensor, and I now have overdrive again! My favorite part is that I only paid $40 for this neutral safety switch. This part was priced at almost $300 at Auto Zone, so finding it for 40 bucks was a steal. My only doubt is the quality of the sensor since I cannot evaluate it properly. Initially, it seems like a good part, but we will have to wait and see.

No start / no reverse lights issues
5/5

Great price. Fixed issue where the Jeep wouldn't start or crank unless the shifter was moved through many gears in order for it to make the proper gear choice. I also fixed the issue with the reverse lights not working.
