This would be the case, I'm sure. I was able to install it on my 98 coupe without any problems.

A sticking factory switch on my 1991 Pontiac Trans Am led to the computer receiving a constant signal that the clutch pedal was depressed, which allowed me to start the car in any gear (neutral included) without having to fully press the clutch pedal There was a lot of danger involved in that I have been getting zero response from the ignition system ever since I installed this beauty. This means when I didn't fully depress the clutch pedal, the ignition system didn't respond, yet when the clutch pedal was fully depressed, the car started just fine!.
One hundred and eighty thousand I had a mile clutch switch I had been using for years that would only allow my truck to start while I held it within a narrow band of a millimeter or two. This made it difficult to find the right position to hold the clutch pedal. We didn't have any tools on hand to swap it out, but it's a great replacement part. It's cheap, OE quality, and couldn't have been easier to install. It is a very easy process to remove the old connecting wire from its retainer, remove the connector from the wiring harness, attach the new connector to it, snap it in place on the retainer, and it is done. I love the way it works.
I got back on the road in no time. A part for my 2006 Saturn SUV was flagged as "not fitting" but I knew it was the right number so I had it shipped I'm happy I made this choice. I thought I'd include this note just in case someone else has a Saturn.
The solution fits perfectly, and the problem has been fixed.
