I emptied out the old accumulator into a measuring cup and then added what came out of the old accumulator to the new one. After installing a new pag 150 cooling oil, I drained out the old fluid from the new compressor once I measured 4 ounces, I replaced it with ACDelco pag 150 oil. Both systems now work like new, and the air is ice cold!.
Originally, the part did not work. It was the AC guy who told me what kind of part needed replacing, and he was able to replace this one. In spite of the relatively easy installation process, getting the snap ring to reattach was the most challenging I installed it. I have now got cold air blowing.
