Questions & Answers

BLEND passenger side door has been replaced, and no noises seem to be coming from that location. A loud noise is being heard behind the center of the dash now. Are you talking about the same ?

Behind the glove compartment was what was making that noise. The part for yours had to be removed completely from the glove compartment, and it was there. Yours sounds like an air intake door. Those interested in the When the air conditioner is on though, the 74122 controls the operation of that door. A noise like this causes the engine temperature to rise quite a bit.

Would this part be able to be used on the side of the car with the console rather than the door as it clicks on the console side of the passenger seat ?

The answer is yes. My life went on as usual after I replaced the door actuator with this one, but about two weeks later I heard a clicking sound coming from the console. After getting on Amazon and reordering the same one, the product worked as expected. If you want to remove the glove box, there is no need to unscrew anything. It's extremely easy to do with the two tabs at the top of the glove box. You simply pull them down far enough so that the glove box tilts all the way forward. I had no idea that the first time. The second time, I knew and it was a lot easier.

Hot is the only setting on my heater. The temperature remained cold even when the dial was turned to the coldest setting. There is no clicking sound on my computer, and I have never had one. Is this unit capable of fixing an electric heater that keeps turning No matter what temperature I set for airflow, it always blows hot air no matter where I put it (floor, defrost, etc). ?

In that case, ordering this replacement part should correct your temperature concerns. However, take time to remove the glove box and lower panel to verify that the actuator is functioning correctly before purchasing the part. You will see the actuator move (indicating it is working) or not move (indicating it has failed) depending on your choice of temperature and defrost settings.

Can this be installed on a 2012 Chevrolet Impala LT Flex Fuel?

Aside from 13, I heard a ticking noise coming from my 2007 hvac blend door. is installed, it does the following I have no more problems.

The door actuators in a 2007 Impala LTZ blend need to be replaced
5/5

One of the actuators is easy to get to, and the other is not. The actuator for the inside and outside air can be found behind the glove compartment. There is an actuator for hot or cold air inside the glove compartment on the passenger's left Located deep under the dash on the driver's side is an actuator for the driver's side hot/cold. There is a long way to go to get to the one in question. Thus, I gave two stars on the install and remove, but I believe it is the car's design that causes the issue and not the product itself.

This AC Delco unit lasts MUCH longer than the original model. It is available in several brands. Every single one of them has been utilized in all three It has taken between 2 months and 9 months for the off brands to fade. In the last couple of years, I've changed out two AC Delco models, and one is still in operation. The same goes for ANY man - It is likely that equipment will fail, but the failure rate is much lower if the equipment is made with craftsmanship. Earlier this month, I replaced one of my units because it was acting up. It is the first hot/cold door on the driver's side and the second outside/inside air blend door that causes most problems. As for the third unit, which is for the passenger hot/cold, it has just begun to have a faint click (off brand), so I'm replacing it with an AC Delco product The bottom line is, spend a couple of dollars more on these rather than the off-priced ones A brand.

I just bought my second item
5/5

The 1st passenger side of the car. The driver side of the 2013 Chevy Impala is now available. *LT Heater Blend Door Actuator Driver's Side. * The same actuator fits the passenger and driver's side. *In Visit the YouTube channel to see the By sliding both the hot and cool sliders, you can determine which side is bad. Using the wires, you need to touch the 2 terminals on the new actuator, as well as the negative and positive terminals of the car battery, on the bad side in order to trigger the gatling gun sound. As soon as you do so, a new actuator key will appear- There will be a slow rotation of the slot. In that case. You can rotate it with small touches until it is matched with the key This is the old actuator's position in its slot. A final moment of peace!.

Hope everything goes well for you

I have done this four times on this 2008 Impala, and it took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. Even so, I am probably saving myself several hundred dollars on labor costs from the auto repair shop. You will have a hard time installing, especially if your hands are large. This job was made so much easier by my finger grip drive I used for this job. It is recommended to lay across the front seats with your head in the passenger-side floor board so that it will be easier to replace the passenger seat. A couple of them are behind the glove box and the rest are under the side dash of the driver's side. The AC Delco product is like the Dorman product. I purchased the Dorman a few years ago for a fraction of the cost, so I thought I would splurge on If you remove the Dorman from the two and compare them, they are exactly the same all the way through. Rather than spending a few dollars, you can buy the cheapest one you can find. On this actuator, it does not indicate whether it is an AC/Delco or a GM part. In its place, it says made in China just as the others do. The following are the latest changes as of Despite my aversion to doing this, we are back on a similar path. Exactly as I expected, this part has failed so far. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with this part, so I don't see why it's The gears of another brand sound like they are made of different material. I will try that brand next. I will be doing this test on the same car for the fifth time.

The plastic gear is dumb
4/5

Well, even though a small nylon gear would seem like a good idea to use in these actuators, I want to know who at GM thought that was a good idea. The ones I saw in 2000 and 2001 I was all too familiar with them, and I had to contort myself to install new ones around the backside of the dash. Visit the 'Tube to see how the swap is done by reading the other comments here. However, if this part is a match for your car, it may be worth having one on hand as a backup because they seem to be just about a consumable part. Oh, and get the OEM ACDelco version, which has the plastic gear but is the longest lasting.

The repair is straightforward
5/5

I EDITED A blend actuator went out on the passenger side of the vehicle. It seems that all three have gone out within a two-year span, so now that they are all 3 new ones, let's hope that we won't have to mess with them again for 6+ years. Broken plastic gear was found inside the broken one, as is usually the case when one breaks. I drive an Impala 2008 with automatic transmission. 2 years ago I bought one of these to fix the actuator on the passenger side of my car. *Here is another one for replacing the drivers side.

Passenger side is very easy to replace, takes 20 minutes from start to finish.
Drivers side is very difficult to replace, takes The batteries ought to last another 10 or so years between these two before they need to be replaced.

Your dash is clicking intermittently and repetitively, and it needs to be fixed! The product is a great replacement for the GM units that fail because of poor design and excessive costs
5/5

A YouTube search will yield instructions on how to complete a simple replacement before you begin. Watch the video to learn how to get it done. So you can get an idea of what you will need and how long you will need it. Since this unit has been in service for months now, there has never been It is important that the output of the actuator be indexed before bolting everything back together. In order to make proper indexing possible, the shaft of the damper / air flap is milled with a flat spot. In order to install the replacement, you will need to reconnect it and actuate it to get the indexing spot to the correct position. Even though it sounds strange just reading what I just said, it will make complete sense once you have done the job and can't figure out why it won't slide onto the shaft to bolt back on. We wish you luck and hope you get these annoying actuators replaced soon!.
