The indicator kit I purchased was for a Ford small block 302, and I believe the holes for 351m plugs are a bit larger and may not fit the thread on the indicator, but if it does, nothing bad should happen if you
An easy way to swap heads on a 289, 302 and 351W is to drop the parts in and out. Only the spark plug thread size varies -- some have a 14mm and others have an 18mm. In that case, check your heads for thread. Here are some tips, I hope they'll help!
A set like this is designed specifically for car engines, so you could use it with your engine if you have the same spark plug thread
You should be able to use it with most motors that run with 5/8 spark plugs. It seems like you would also have to make sure that the spark plug is perpendicular to the piston. The most likely result will be that it will not work if it is angled in any way. In regards to your vehicle specifically, I'm unable to answer, but I hope I clarify your inquiry.

When it comes to finding top dead center, this 14mm tool is fantastic. First, I insert a whistle into the spark plug hole to determine how hard the compression is. The moment the whistle blows I insert this indicator tool to find the exact center of the The ideal tool for preparing for cylinder leak down tests.
The work I do is the best. I work on a fleet of standby generators and am constantly doing valve adjustments. The news came at just the right time. In order to adjust them properly, the cylinders need to be precisely where they need to be. With the side of the slide being turned with resealed marks (very important for compression release engines), the marks can't be wore off in 1/8 inch increments. It would be nice if the tube the tool came in had a cap of some kind.
This worked on my 302 Ford as long as you go slow and careful. Additionally, I greased the tip before inserting it to ensure it would slide across the top of the piston without damaging it. Let's start off with a question what the hell is sheerness? "Save your money. I'll tell you what you need to do. " Neither the threads nor the spark plug fit any 14mm spark plug hole in any of my German, Japanese or American vehicles. I don't really remember what the thread is. It seems of high quality, so that is too bad. The bed looks impressive on my rollaway bed. If it isn't useful, it isn't worth the time. After switching to a soda straw, I had to go back to drinking from a cup.
On the order form, I asked if it would fit a Ford 302, but when it arrived it said it was only for Hemi engines. I called the manufacturer, and he said that if I am careful, it should work, but overall I should He told me that was his answer.
My Ford 302 was fitted with this TDC indicator and it worked just fine. What I liked most about it is that there are tick marks on the spring shaft to indicate when TDC is reached.
The Pontiac 400 turned out to be an interesting purchase. I have plug holes that are not aligned with my cylinder movement, which made it difficult to turn the motor by hand.
Great quality and I am keeping it because it will work well for motors with pistons that push straight toward.
The big block Chevy is compatible with the product. Only twice have I used it and I took it very slowly and checked for binding during each pass. Since the spark plugs are steeply angled, this is not recommended for use in this application, but it worked in my case. An original 1984 454 from a truck, complete with its original parts.
