It's been 9 months, and it's now making a very loud ticking noise. I was under the impression that I needed to adjust the valves. If I unplug this unit, the sound goes away.
After 2 months, the crap I bought for my 2005 Acura Tl started ticking and the check engine light never went away, so I had to buy an original part from the dealer.
So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly. Error codes are no longer required!.
Doing it yourself saves a lot of time and money. Excellent quality and a short distance from the manufacturer.
For the past three years, the fuel cap warning light on my wife's Acura TLs has been illuminated, and the dealer has been unable to clear it. The warning went away after I replaced the solenoid. Installing it was a breeze.
Gas cap light was turned off after a simple installation.
It worked well for a short time, but it now has ticks. Although it appears to be operational, it is audible when walking near the car. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> The ticking has stopped, but I'm still getting a P0496 Check Engine Light for "Evaporative Emissions System High Purge Flow. " I'm guessing the solenoid has become stuck open.
*Update* The error code reappeared 6 months later, as I've seen in other reviews.
