**The first van in our fleet had a speedometer dial in the dash that suddenly went to zero when it should be going to speed. Sometimes you could put the car in park and then back in drive if you stopped and put it in park. The cruise control would disconnect and not come back on unless you put the car in park and then turned it back on again. In the second instance, I replaced it in a van with an electronic dashboard (which was the closest thing to knightrider I had ever driven) where the speedometer displayed random speeds between 1 and 80 mph instead of the set speed. This speed sensor was installed in both vans, which led to the correct behavior. Once this was installed, both vans were able to operate their cruise controls and odometers as usual. In this case, the sensor is located so close to the transaxle that the only way to reach it was to put the van on ramps and reach up overhead from just behind the driver wheel. It looks like it was a key part of.
Having installed the SC201 speed sensor on my 1999 Nissan Quest since September 2018, I highly recommend it. I found it to work Once my cruise control and odometer returned to normal, everything was fine again. Please be aware If the speedometer is reading excessively fast while you are driving, then you should.
The product does what it's supposed to.
It is working well, my car now does what it should do and it didn't cost me nearly as much as the mechanic was willing to charge me.
Installation was quick and easy with just a few tools on hand. Highly recommended for DIY projects on your car. You won't want to spend the cash to have your car repaired.
It was a great piece of equipment. My 2000 Nissan Quest was a perfect fit.
I got the job done.
OK, I got it installed.
