There is nothing special about it, but it is exactly as described. Having your own relay does not require you to wire anything up. For most applications, the wire is long enough and of good quality. In my vehicle, the relay is under the dash on the driver's side, but the pump is at the back of the tank. Therefore, I had to extend the power wire to my pump.
