Questions & Answers

(4) Does the O have a lot of splicing. Do I need a wiring harness and a fog light switch to fully function the fog lights and fog light switch?

It is hard for me to directly answer that question since I have not yet installed the software In my experience, modern Asian wiring looms usually include all the wiring for accessories, but the accessories may not have been included based on the model of the car you purchased. As a result, I am missing fog lights, even though my Soul has the fog lights switch built into the turn signal lever assembly, along with all the other switch arrangements. There may be more time and expense involved than just adding the lights. It might require adding a relay that wasn't already To find out more about your car's wiring harness, do some research.

How do I locate the fog lights and all the parts necessary for them to work?

If you want to find a fog lights kit for your car, I advise you to do an online search. It seemed that what was being offered was all over the place when I looked The selection ranges from just replacement parts to kit sets that supposedly include all of the necessary components. Kia did not make a kit that included everything that was branded as "Kia". There appeared to be aftermarket switches, wires, relays, and connectors attached to OEM lights. It will work, but you won't be able to simply bolt everything together and switch Having the factory lever assembly switch installed allows you to make your car as "factory" as possible. However, it will require you to research and know how to do it. I wish you the best of

Is there an installation manual that contains detailed instructions for both products. During the morning fog, the O is lit up. Do you have a switch for the fog light?

all of the fog lights kits I've read about have only rudimentary instructions, if any are included at all. In order to get better and more detailed installation information, people search on the Internet. It is part of the turn signal lever assembly that controls the fog lights. For replacing my replacement battery, I found the most helpful instructions on YouTube. The YouTube video I used was excellent, comprehensive, and easy to run while I was driving through the process by using my smart phone. I used my shop manual to explain the procedure, but based on my experience, I found the YouTube video I used was much better.

Is it only the fog lights and steering wheel switch that turns the lights on and off? Could you please tell me if these fog lights require other connections?

It's a bit confusing the way it's worded, but if you mean does this switch control the fog lights for a Kia Soul, yes? You can use this replacement switch lever assembly if you have fog lights in your Soul. It's a complete assembly with the fog light control switch. All the outside lights are controlled by it Ensure your car has a working headlight, parking lights, and fog lights, if they're already installed. The second part of your question is even more confusing. if there are other connections for the fog lights circuit, besides the fog lights switch built into this lever assembly, the answer is "of course" there are. It will be able to turn the fog lights off and on if your Soul already has a fog light circuit. It is not enough just to purchase this assembly if your car does not have fog lights already.

Selected User Reviews For Kia Motors OEM Genuine 93410B2010 Fog Light Switch Lever Assy 1-pc Without Auto Light Function for 2014 2015 2016 Kia All New Soul

Here is a solution for a real issue! Having owned a 2014 Kia Soul+ for more than a year now, I'd like to share my experience with you As well as It is the best vehicle I have ever owned, and I really enjoy Nevertheless, a problem was developed over the months occasionally if I used the turn signals and completed a turn while driving with the headlights on, when the lever returned to the off position, the headlights would come on! I initially thought I was causing this situation, since it was sporadic and I was unable to get it to repeat itself even when I purposely did it
5/5

The issue gradually worsened to the point where it was occurring The headlights control is on the same turn signal lever stalk, so I figured it must be mechanical or physical problem shared by both circuits, but not an electronic one. During my search for online commentary on this problem, I found that no one appeared to know what the cause was. My next discovery was a comment from a mechanic who stated that the problem had apparently been solved by changing out his turn signal switch. In the absence of a follow-up Since I had not followed up on his comment, I had no way of knowing whether or not it was the real problem, though it seemed to fit with my observation of the car's behavior. The turn signal / headlight switch was exposed when I removed the steering column covers. It appears that there are a lot of small openings in the switch's base, where the different circuits' moving contact points Due to the way the switch is mounted to the steering wheel (and the airbag in the driver), I used an electronic contact spray cleaner that I sprayed into the openings at the back of I am no longer experiencing the issue with my headlights going off without warning. Once used to live in peace, then it returned with As soon as I turned the knob on the turn signal lever the headlights would no longer come on. There were times when they worked, and other times when they did It took me a couple of minutes to place an order for a replacement switch and learn how to replace it. In the 70s I trained as a mechanic, and have since done much of my own maintenance on cars, so in my case the process of getting the switch out and replacing was not intimidating, but I can see how it might be for someone else. You will have to remove the air bag first, then the steering wheel, followed by removing the small unit known as the clock spring with care so that it does not By doing this you can easily access the wiper control switch (actually two switches, as the wiper mechanism is attached to the side of the turn signal mechanism). There are a few wire plugs that must be removed and replaced in the course of the job. Further, I would like to point out It is necessary to replace the nut holding the steering wheel to the column since it is self-corroding In addition to locking, one-way locks are available The only use is for industrial purposes. A nut should be included with the switch to make the job easier and faster. It is not included with the switch. As a result of reading the Kia manual, I had to order the nut separately. Torque refers to the amount of tension that this nut should be tightened down to. As long as you understand what you are doing and have the correct torque wrench, you can do it easily. How come I took so long to discuss turn signal switch replacement? Since you should have done mechanical work on your cars in the past, know the basics (such as the need for torquing nuts to a specified amount of tightness) and are not intimidated by the removal of an air bag and steering wheel, then this repair should be relatively easy. In the event that you are not mechanically inclined and are uncertain of your ability to follow what I have mentioned, then take it to a shop and let them handle it for you. What is the cost of that? I have no idea how much it is, but shops are probably getting about $90-$100 per hour now, and a good mechanic should be able to do this in an hour or less, but who knows for sure. $66 per piece) and paying outrageous shipping costs on the nuts (3 nuts cost much less than the shipping for one). It seems that replacement of the switch has solved my problem with my headlights, as they haven't unexpectedly shut off since the switch was replaced. was a genuine Kia part that came in a real Kia box, along with the nuts, which were also sealed in a genuine Kia parts bag. Finally, I'd like to highlight the following To figure out what was causing the problem, I took apart the original switch. There was no evidence of burned or shorted points inside the switch, so we are confident it is a fully functional switch. As far as I can tell, everything inside was working correctly (which means according to design). There was only one thing that seemed out of place to me, which was the amount of A dielectric grease, on the other hand, is not supposed to be conductive. It is typically used to seal rubber boots on electrical connections (on the rubber portions of spark plug boots, etc. , but not on metallic connections). In addition, it is capable of lubricating moving parts without conducting a I discover there is a substantial amount of dielectric grease inside the headlight / turn signal switch contact points, and I question whether it is normal. In the switch, grease moves across the contact points each time the lever was moved, so to cause a circuit to fail to carry current, all that would have to occur is for the grease to be moved across the contact points. It would explain why spraying contact cleaner into its contact points initially helped, but then failed to provide any relief because I couldn't reach the contact points appropriately, and the grease that remained continued to make the problem worse. What is the difference between the old switch and the new switch? My knowledge of the subject is limited. Also, I have no idea how a switch like this can be lubricated to last for 1000's of uses without having some kind of trouble. Keeping an eye on how the new switch performs is very important to me.

I found it to be the perfect fit for my 2014 Soul base at an excellent price
5/5

The part fits perfectly for my 2014 Soul base at an excellent price. Were I to buy an original Kia part, I would have been waiting a few months for it. There is a fog light control that works, but you'll have to install fog lights and wire them correctly if you don't have them already. To my knowledge, I have yet to complete this task. It started with the flashing of my headlights and an occasional interior light appearing out of nowhere in the middle of the night despite there being no one The problem seemed to disappear for a short time after I connected a ground strap from the battery to the engine, but eventually it returned and grew worse. The tube has a great video that shows exactly how to install it. Do not hurriedly rush through this! You must be careful!.
