Questions & Answers

Can this be used on a Ford F-150 The Ford 350 Super Duty 7 has five doors and two doors. A turbo diesel with three turbochargers. Three hundred ninety-three. Can you please tell me if the federal emissions were made in California?

That should be the case. You can also find the same part at auto parts stores like AutoZone and Oreily's. You can have your truck's part matched to the part they have.

It has disintegrated! A couple of years later, they disintegrated
3/5

As a result of my attempt to loosen nuts from embedded threaded studs, the housing completely collapsed.

This is a good relay, but better used as a cold-start aid
5/5

This Air Intake Heater relay costs over $80 at part stores. The part is of good quality, and I received it in less time than the posted arrival date, and fitted it within ten Due to the fact that it is seldom used, I decided to make it an engine starting aid. It usually only kicks on when the engine is running and the oil temperature is below 135 degrees Fahrenheit. If your truck does not have California emissions, remove the red and brown (coil circuit) wires, as well as the green wire from the load side of the relay and tape them up for use as a cold starting aid. There is no problem with a PCM that is unplugged, and it won't throw any codes or cause the Check Engine Light to illuminate. Connect a red wire from the GPR load (for the glow plugs) side to the red terminal on the AIH, and a black (ground) wire from one of the GPR mount studs to the AIH brown wire. Leave all heavy gauge 12v wiring alone. A light will turn on and off the AIH once the glow plugs are plugged in!.

To keep your relays safe, don't torque the terminals to OEM The old piece of junk had to be massaged to fit into the mounting studs
3/5

Torquing every single terminal to Ford specs caused them to fail. It is worth the extra effort to find a White-Rodgers relay that actually gives you torque specs for their own product. In contrast to this piece of trash that leaves you to assume the specs are the same as those at.

I was very pleased with the results

I found this to be a great price for a relay that worked perfectly. It was cheaper than Please note that this method does not work on the intake heater only on.

There is no evidence in this review that this works for anyone else
4/5

There seems to be a misunderstanding in the review which states that this only works for the glow plugs while the item described is an What's wrong with the glow plug relay being much taller than the intake heater This puzzles me.

A very good price for the air intake heater for a 7
5/5

Use this to get it on your 7! With the F series, they can now be started much more easily than simply using glow plugs. Using a 7 as an example, here is the taller relay at the front. Standard has a premium product with great quality and in this case is much cheaper than that found in parts stores or dealers. I sold autoparts in the 90s and Standard had a product that was great quality and a great price.
