The ECM is located on the fender of the 9L I6. The shipping was fast and it fixed a hard start and idle problem I had with my Ford F-150 It is a four-wheel drive 150 XLT. The I6 is 9L. This is the proper part to purchase if your ECM is mounted on the heatsink like you get on federal / ambulance duty. It is not recommended to buy the Gray ECM module for the Fender mount on the I6 F150. It's a push module (looks similar), so purchase the Black ECM instead. This type of calculation is called a dwell calculation. There was no mention of fender mount in other ads. Mounted near the distributor, these look the same as others. For those of you familiar with the F150 4, here is a quick note. It uses a 9L inline fuel cell Owners of the ambulance, commercial, and federal chassis will be covered under line 6. This F150 variant is rather unusual and difficult to find. In other words, if you have one, then this is the ECM for you!.

A spark problem intermittently occurred when I started my car, so I ordered this. Due to the fact that the problem would go away after a few minutes, it was installed and uninstalled several times over the course of a couple of weeks as a part of the process to determine the cause. There was no problem at that time. Due to the fact that the Hall Effect pickup in the distributor was responsible for the problem, it is now a spare part.
