Join the two together. Connect the 1 terminal to the nest * port and the 3 terminal to the c wire on your two humidifier wires. This requires a nest learning thermostat and is not compatible with a nest e.
Nope. 24vac
Why not ? But I'm not familiar with the Aprilaire 600M humidifier's circuit diagram.
One of these is being used by my HVAC technician to control an Aprilaire humidifier with my NEST thermostat. If the NEST is calling for humidity, the humidifier will turn on even if only the furnace fan is on (furnace not calling for heat). I hope this information is useful. I'm afraid I'm not an expert in the field of air conditioning. The reason I have two is because the first one appeared to be defective, so I ordered a replacement, but it was not defective—it was simply not wired correctly.

took . To control humidity, use this relay in conjunction with Nest. It took me a long time to realize what was going on. I'm posting this diagram to assist anyone who requires it! br>br>Equipment: br>br>

It's very quiet here! This relay was used to connect my Honeywell whole-house humidifier to a Nest thermostat. I had previously purchased another (and more expensive) relay from Amazon that had only lasted a few weeks, so I decided to give this one a shot. So far, everything has gone well. It works perfectly, but I've only had it for one day, so if anything goes wrong with it in the future, I'll let you know. This one has one distinct advantage over the other: it is significantly quieter. It's a relay, so it clicks when it engages and disengages, but even standing next to it, you can barely hear it turn on and off. When the other one turned on and off, I could hear it from anywhere in the house.
humidifier for the whole house I used this relay to allow Nest to control an Aprilaire whole-house humidifier after doing a lot of online research (much more than should be required for such an expensive "smart" thermostat). humidifier for the whole house Basically, when needed, Nest sends out an "on" signal, which I used to control this humidifier relay instead of the controller. For the 24vac signal, this is overkill, but it's what Google suggests.
HA! It could just as easily be a tattoo machine. I used this, as well as a 24V AC adapter, to install a Nest thermostat in my old millivolt gas fireplace. br>br>According to the item's description, "This fan relay is a compact, completely enclosed relay that provides quiet, reliable, and cost-effective operation. " "br>br>However, when the system powers up, I hear a distinct click (which is fine) followed by a LOUD CONSTANT BUZZING from the next room. br>br>I mean, it controls the fireplace, so it earns a couple of stars for that. But I can't go through the winter with this constant buzzing! br>br>Will return if I can't get a replacement, as I read in other reviews that some of the units are defective and the replacements are silent.
It's a great deal, and Amazon delivery is unbeatable. I bought it because a similar one was running another zone function on this combination boiler DWH heater, and I wanted this one to match. I was planning on purchasing a backup in case one of the two failed. The new one is straightforward and functional, but it makes a lot of noise. I don't believe I should have to isolate my mounting because the other one is similarly mounted and silent. Before I try rubber mounts or anything else to reduce the reverberation, I'll probably order that spare one (but perhaps a different brand?). br>br>Newsflash- I ordered a second one, which is noticeably quieter than the first. They both perform admirably. It's just the first one's loud noise.
Smart thermostats were incompatible with my oil furnace; A mechanical thermostat was connected by only two wires. I was able to connect a Honeywell T9 WiFi thermostat to my oil furnace using this relay, a 24VAC transformer, and this relay. Any smart thermostat (like Nest or ecobee) that requires a 24V C-cell battery should work with this. br>br>So far, it's been a success. br>br> While there are numerous YouTube videos that explain how to connect the wiring, keep in mind that you will be working with both 120V and 24V electricity and should hire a professional if you are unsure how to do so safely.
Without the Aprilaire humidstat that came with the 800, I was able to successfully connect it to my Nest Gen 3 thermostat. It allowed me to install my new humidifier with ease. br>br>Lug 1 on 90-degrees On the HVAC Control Board, connect 290Q to Common. br>Lug 3 on a 90-degree angle on the 90-degree angle on the 90-degree angle on the 90-degree angle on the 290Q to * on Nest v2br>Lug 4 on 90-degree angle on 90-degree angle on 90-degree angle on 90-degree angle on 90-degree angle on 90-degree angle on 90 On Aprilaire 800, 290Q to HUM 1br>Lug 2 on 90-Lug 2 on 90-Lug 2 on 90-Lug 2 on 90-Lug 2 on 90-L On Aprilaire 800, dial 290Q to HUM 2.
a humidifier for the entire house that is wired It was simple to set up, requiring only a few tenths of 25" connectors are available, as well as some pre-made connectors. I set up the wiring by following the wiring diagrams in the Nest pro guide and coordinating with the wiring in my furnace. It was simple to install with a sheet metal screw and an existing hole in my furnace panneling thanks to the mounting tabs. br>br>Now there's only the sleek Nest unit on my wall, no old humidistat.
