The following DIY video shows how to disassemble the headlight assembly on an E46 BMW with an M54 engine. To save time and trouble, check the you tube video. Despite spending three hours trying to get the hose off, it literally took less than thirty seconds once the headlight assembly was removed so the quick connect part of the hose could be easily accessed.
