However, this is not a job for the faint of heart. It is quite a pain to route this behind the engine and transmission.
It did its job, but the metal portion of the hose hose was not bent precisely to what the car needed to be able to use it. A few adjustments had to be made for sure in the field. But it seems to be working now.
Afterward, I plugged the old pressure switch back in and connected the new hose. There was a leak. In addition to the pressure switch, I also received a leaky pressure switch. When I examined the groove closely I discovered the diameter and depth of the groove are There is a slight difference in ring seal size. I used an o-shaped container when I changed to a A solution has been found to the ring issue.
There was minimal packaging for the installation but there were three brackets missing but the fitment work did not need the missing bracket that started the leak that I was experiencing from the hi-rise. Unless I don't have the car I sold, I would buy again if I had it.
There were no grooves in the steel to screw the metal into the power steering sensor, and the metal was so worn it would not tighten enough to maintain high pressure in the line. I had to return this used junk and purchased the new one at the auto parts store.
We find that this product works well for our 2008 Honda Pilot. The gasket that came with the unit worked well, and I would buy it again if I needed it.
The fitting seems to be a direct fit, so I'm waiting for the mechanic to install it.
It was brought into a Honda dealership to replace the power steering pressure hose with this part. A new oil filter was installed as well. I replaced the rings for the pressure sensor and it started leaking heavily at the fitting that connects to the rack side. The pressure hose from Honda was the oem item we had to purchase.
