It's simple to determine whether or not you require these. Start the engine and open the power steering reservoir; if it bubbles, there is an air leak. If the noise disappears as soon as the car warms up, the gaskets are faulty. These solved the problem and put an end to the noise.
Doesn't live up to the claims made in the specifications. This isn't something you should buy. The dimensions are incorrect for a 2003 Acura MDX. Too thin. It is not possible to seal it.
Imagine your dissatisfaction when you dismantle your power steering pump only to discover that these o-rings are defective. The low and high pressure rings that came with your original pump are nothing like these. You might be the one in this scenario. Check out the images below: o-factory The rings are at the bottom, and the message is at the top. Not by a long shot. What a colossal waste of Sunday time.
My 2007 Honda Odyssey with a 3. 0L engine did not fit these O rings. They were far too small, with a 5 liter engine.
It didn't quite fit my 2004 MDX, allowing air in through the high-pressure P/S hose. It was necessary to purchase from a dealer because the diameter and thickness were larger. When the dealer purchased o-, the screeching stopped. The ring has been set up.
I bought these o-rings and a pump. rings made by the same vendor The O- THE RINGS ARE INCOMPLETELY TOO SMALL. It's the first time I've installed it, and it's leaking. I was extremely dissatisfied because I paid a higher price for these seals from the same person who sold me the pump.
It's a rubber O ring, but it fit perfectly. I swapped out the OEM, snapped it in, and there were no issues or leaks.
I had a squealing/whining noise coming from my power steering pump, and after researching the issue on forums, I discovered that replacing the o rings fixed the problem for the vast majority of people. I found it to be very useful. On my 2007 Odyssey, the red one goes on the low pressure side, and the black one goes on the high pressure side, which solved my problem.
