A rack and pinion gearbox is a gearbox that is used to replace a rack and pinion

After you've installed your tie rods, make sure to grease them. Before tightening your steering joint, double-check that your steering wheel and tires are straight.

Fits the following cart(s): EZGO TXT and workhorse gas or electric models with steering box mounted to front axle from 2001 to the present. (This item will not fit older models because they have two tie rods attached to the box)

Is this compatible with an Ergo S4 cart from 2012?

Yes, it should work fine; I installed one on my 2008 cart and it worked perfectly.

Is there any slack in the original steering box after this?

With the adjustable nut on the end, you can make the necessary adjustments.

Is it possible to install this without drilling any holes in a 2005 TXT?

I have a 2001 and had to drill a single hole in it.

Is there a difference in the bolt pattern? My 2001 tie rod holes aren't straight across, so what's up with that?

It only has three bolts, but you'll need three spacers to make it fit; they go between the steering and main axle assemblies. I'm at a loss for words; everything appears to be in order.

TXT version of the Fit from 2015

It is not necessary to drill. My 2015 txt was able to be accommodated. It is not necessary to drill. Simple to assemble and use.

This item arrived in perfect condition, carefully packaged, and took about 1 hour to install. The steering wheel had to be centered to the wheels for 30 minutes out of the five hours. I'm very happy with the price and the deal.
