I was taken aback- There is no key slot. In any case, I installed the pulley, tightened it up, and started the truck up. Now it's charging nicely, the pulley hasn't slipped, and we're on our way. It's been a few months since we last saw each other. Paul, best of luck.

NOTE. There isn't a set screw or a keyhole. More information can be found here. It's difficult to find pulleys for this shaft size, which is the size used by most treadmill motors and the size from which I get (awesome) free powerful dc motors for my projects. There is no keyhole or place for a setscrew on these pulleys. Drilling and taping for a 6mm or 1/4 inch setscrew, on the other hand, was quick and simple. If you don't have the necessary equipment or knowledge, I'm sure you know someone who does. A beer bribe is always effective on me, so give it a shot. br>br>Don't try to drill out a pulley with a smaller ID to get 17 mm unless you have a lathe; the results are unusable unless you have a lathe. I tried, but I should've known better. Regardless, the attached image (which my wife no longer allows me to call a picture) shows the 17 mm pulley with a setscrew in action on my lapidary equipment. br>To all, I wish you good health and happiness. br>Scotty P. is a freelance writer who lives in New York City.
Because it will fit on a standard treadmill motor shaft, I purchased this pulley. A hole must be drilled and tapped through it, as well as a grub screw to be installed. There's no way to secure it to the shaft if it's not attached to it. It's well-made, and I think it's well worth the money.
I'm very pleased with the product. The measurements are accurate, and the fit and finish are excellent.
Machined pulley, not stamped metal, was used on a GM alternator and fit perfectly.
It does the job for me.
2 A. To shim the pulley out enough for the belt to clear the fan on the front of the alternator, I needed washers from a local alternator shop. Aside from that, the fir is flawless.
