The first AVR had the large capacitor in the back installed incorrectly, causing it to hit the generator's case and prevent it from being bolted in. I assumed it was a manufacturing defect and a fluke, so I ordered the same item as a replacement, and I was correct; the replacement was correctly assembled. Please take note of the following: The blue wire is installed on the left side of the brushes, closest to the armature, at the terminal. br>Unfortunately, the voltage setting was off by a lot; I only had 200v and had to turn the adjustment pot 12 full turns to get 240/122v. br>Note 2) To increase voltage, you must turn the screw counterclockwise, which is the opposite of what I've seen in other posts. br>I've only tested with 1500w, so I'm hoping this will hold up when needed. br>Next time, I'll try a different brand, though I suspect they're all made the same.
Aside from the brush connectors, which aren't labeled. I was hoping for a 50/50 chance of a successful connection, but alas, there was no output. Checked the voltmeter and discovered that the blue/yellow was inverted. Blue + . 117 degrees Fahrenheit No load at 234 degrees Fahrenheit. 110 & 220 lbs. loaded The power transistor does not have a heat sink, which is my only concern. A square of thin aluminum one inch in diameter should suffice.
It performs as expected.
Please.
Because the condenser was not positioned correctly on one side, the meyptal had to be removed from the frame in order to install it.
My Mitsubishi MGE5800 will not accept it. Because the one I want to replace is square, the wiring will be different. My generator is around 16 years old, which could be the issue.
Arrived on time, but I was unable to return it because I did not work through the package.
I'm not going to bother returning it because it'll just cost me more money.
