The ride was so rough that my gas cap kept popping open because I had maxed out the stock bilsteins. It took about 20 minutes per side to install these rear shocks, and you didn't even have to jack up the vehicle. The ride is incredible; it rides like a truck, which it should, but it handles all of the usual bumps like a champ. I'll get the front equivalents installed as soon as possible. Don't be hesitant to purchase for your Tacoma 3rd Gen.
On my lifted Toyota Tacoma Ext. from 2006. Cab! To fit into the axel bracket, I had to shave down the lower rubber bushings. Because the vertical attach bolt was too short, I had to install with just one upper bushing until I compressed it. After compressing the rubber bushing, I removed the nut and top washer and replaced it with the supplied nut and washer. If the top vertical attach bolt had been longer, this would have been a one-step process! I sent two emails to the seller, but received no response.
If I can just get the hardware, I'd rather not return the entire strut. br>br>From what I can tell, the overall quality of OME is about as good as you'd expect! I'm really looking forward to wearing them.
My 2010 Tacoma prerunner was a perfect fit, and the rear end is now stiff and smooth. Shocks are excellent.
My 2015 Toyota Tacoma's rear axle handling improved dramatically after installing these shcoks. I replaced the stock Bilsteins and noticed a significant difference. Transitioning from pavement to gravel and dirt is much easier and smoother on washboard roads.
It was a fantastic deal. Although it lacks the frills and appearance of higher-end products, the quality of these far exceeds expectations.
The OME quality you've come to expect. My previous pair on a 2007 Tacoma 4x4 DCSB lasted far longer than I had anticipated. It's been almost a hundred thousand miles since we started! Even though they weren't leaking, I decided to swap them out anyway. Work well with Dakar leaf packs and a lot of extra weight in the back due to the plate bumper and cargo.
I found exactly what I needed.
