Autozone is looking for 65 dollars. 99 for the same ones, and these have a nipple to which you can apply grease, extending their life.
The outer tie rod was one of the parts replaced in the rebuild of a 2000 Civic Si front end. The Moog part was of excellent quality, and I strongly advise replacing it with these. Remember that whenever you replace a major component in the front end or back end, you should have the car's four wheels aligned as the last step. I recommend Moog parts because they appear to be comparable to OEM parts at a lower cost, and many of them are manufactured in the same factories as OEM parts. When it comes to older vehicles, you may have no choice but to go aftermarket because OEM parts are no longer available due to the vehicle's age.
The reason I gave it 5 stars is because of the zerk fitting on top for adding grease. The nice thing about it is that the tie rod won't have grease that has been sitting around for a long time, and it also makes the part serviceable so that you can periodically add new grease and replace the old grease, which should significantly extend the life of the part if installed properly. br>br>I'd recommend putting anti-seize inside the tie rod to prevent rust and corrosion, so that if you ever need to remove it, it won't be corroded and painful to remove.
This is the rod that was made in the United States of America. Moog Made in USA Tie is a very well-designed tie. Rod. I contacted Moog, who assured me that this model is manufactured in the United States. In addition, this one comes with a zerk grease fitting so you can grease them up. Honda was my first tie. There was no grease fitting on the rod ends. Not to scare you, but the zerk grease fitting must be installed on the tie-down. It has a self-supporting rod end. tapping. Simply be firm when installing it, and it will cut its own threads. While there are less expensive tie-dyes on the market, This rod end is made in the United States and features a grease fitting as well as the Moog reputation for high-quality chassis parts.
The rubber boot also appears to be thicker than the boot that came with a different aftermarket brand. br>br>I was persuaded to purchase these because of my previous positive experience with Moog Ball Joints.
In exchange for a 2001 Integra LS, this item was purchased. If I'm not using OEM suspension parts, I always use MOOG suspension parts. Moog has proven to be reliable and close to OEM in terms of fit and finish. This, like the ES3331R (right outer), is reasonably priced. Zerk fittings are always a plus on tie rods. I wish Moog would pre-record some of his songs. Install the zerk fitting to make our lives easier, but it's not a huge deal.
Perfect fit for my CRV; it appears to be a lot beefier, and the zerks are a nice addition.
With grease fittings, it appears to be a high-quality part. I used Moog parts to replace both inner and outer tie rods on both sides of a 1995 Acura Integra. Steering is tight and true after alignment, which is required following repair.
