I've installed thousands of Moog suspension parts in my work as an undercarriage specialist. It's so convenient to simply remove the old part and replace it with a new one. There are no changes, modifications, flaws, or deviations. This Tie Rod End was installed on a 1975 Jeep CJ5. It was built stronger than the original part. br> Pitman arm is attached to the driver's side. It has right-hand threads that connect to a left-hand drag link, which is attached to the right-hand tie rod end and has an adjustable sleeve. br>It came pre-greased, but I added a little more after it was installed and the dust cap was firmly seated, to displace any voids and seal around the shaft, since it is installed in a shaft-mounted device. in a standing position br>I'll grease it every now and then to keep water and debris out, but I doubt I'll ever have to replace it. Unless I smash it against a rock, that is.
I had a few brands on hand and decided to weigh them all. Each: Advantage 11 by AC Delco 62oz. , SKP 11. 93oz. Moog 13 is a musical instrument created by Moog. 74oz. Do I know that, in terms of weight, the Moog is the best of the bunch? No, but it is a thicker tie rod end than the rest; however, the SKP and AC's boots are fixed to the end (sealed to the end) and are not removable. I like this feature because dirt and water will have no way of getting into the ball joint unless the rubber fails. For the money, I am very impressed with the SKP and would buy them again unless a good deal on the Moog is available.
There are no thread issues, the item is well-made, and there is no play at all; The threads on the Tie rod and Nut ends are both perfect and tightly torqued. There are no issues. I intend to purchase again.
This part fits passenger drag links from 1986 to the present. Suzuki Samurai (model number: 89).
These are perfect and far superior to OEM for a CJ7, and they come with everything shown in the picture. Moog the problem solver is imprinted on the bottom of the tie rod. Because the dust boot is not molded into the tie rod like some other brands, you can fill it with grease without destroying it.
Moog is a safe bet.
Moog.
In line with expectations.
