A solid fit is not required, but makes for a nice look. Upon closer inspection, it appears to be almost identical to the OEM unit Since I did not want to try to press them on to start the nut, I was able to use only the lower rubber. As the old rubber insert was squished after being mounted for ten years, I used it as the top. The shocks do not need to be replaced if you are replacing your rear shocks, but they do provide The old rubbers would have been better suited to this. It was equipped with Bilstein 4600 shock absorbers.
After I discovered that the shocks that were previously installed on my Tundra did not use OEM style mounts, I promptly ordered replacements. In my case, I was updating to the Bilstein 5100s, which require the original OEM mounts, which were not included with Auto stores did not carry those products, and the Toyota dealership would have charged over $40 for them.
My truck had damaged shocks in the back so I was glad to have these parts. Other than the top piece over time I am sure it will compress a bit more but it fit perfectly. The shocks I used were Bill Steans 5100 shocks.
This suspension fits perfectly with Bilstein 5100s in the rear of a 2010 Tundra. In my case, the factory bushings were old so it was better to replace them rather than reuse them.
I found this to be a perfect OEM replacement for my rear suspension shock tower bushings on my 2016 Tundra.
I bought these to replace my 15' Tundra's Bilstein 5160 rears. I had no issues with them. It is a really good.
This product fits perfectly on the 2008 Tundra.
My shock absorbers did not match the shocks in all of them, so they were useless for me.
