How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

With greaseable u-joints, contamination and moisture can be flushed out and corrosion and wear are reduced.
In addition to maintaining even grease distribution to the wear surfaces, patented thrust washer technology absorbs axial loads to prevent metal to metal contact. In order to facilitate ease of driveshaft balancing, thrust washers are manufactured with tight tolerances.
A unique anti-drainback system ensures that lubrication flow is controllable and the engine is not dry-started.
OE components such as needle bearings and snap rings are sourced from original equipment manufacturers. As a result, needle bearings provide a consistent size and the right hardness to distribute loads evenly. It is crucial that the cup be held appropriately in place and retained by snap rings.
A compressed double lip design on nitrile rubber grease seals ensures greater effectiveness in protecting against contaminants as well as ensuring longer seal life. The seals adhere to stringent multifaceted SAE performance standards for

Questions & Answers

Do you know whether this is a three grooved ?

There are no splines in the idler arm

Although the Moog #k6535 has a grease zerk, the picture of the Moog #k6535hd does not show a grease zerk. What is the grease zerk like in the HD version?

There is one that comes with it.

Does this part fit a regular 2003 silverado 1500 z71 4x4 since this part was made for a 1500 HD?

You won't be able to do that. In addition to the front suspension on the 2500s and 2500hds, the 1500HD also has front disc brakes. My guess is that k6534/k6534hd is the part number you need if you have 6 lug wheels. Please accept my sincere thanks for your help.

Can I still get the warranty on the Moog pitman and idler arm I bought less than a year ago from a local automotive parts store?

It would depend on whether you had a warranty when you bought the part. I have never encountered a problem with either one.

I urge you to read the following carefully before installing this
3/5

For my 2005 Silverado 2500HD, I purchased the Pitman K6654HD and the Idler Arm K6535HD, as well as bracket K6723. The components of the bike are of rock solid quality, however, the pitman ball joints and idler arm ball joints are In the end, the truck began wandering all over the road without constant steering correction as the steering became binded. The highway was not pleasant to drive on this way, as you can imagine. A steering wheel that does not return to center after a turn would also prevent it from doing so. Initially I thought my frame had been damaged, so I took the truck to a Truck Frame Shop, who tested the vehicle, disassembled the Pitman and Idler, and found that both were defective because the ball joint portion would not move. This is a common problem they will verify the rotation of every ball joint on every component they receive and they will send it back until they find one that is easily rotatable. To make sure the ball joint is turning, they use a cotter pin and if it does not, AC Delco Brand tested it in this manner when it arrived after I ordered it. My allen wrench fitted into the cotter pin hole and I was able to turn the AC Delco ball joint. However, I wasn't able to turn the one on the Moog. The wandering issue has been resolved since I installed the AC Delco. As it should, it now cruises down the highway without a hitch. It is my hope that this simple test will save you a lot of money and.

There is a dislike about the part because it was in an open box and had grease all over it. Furthermore, the part was removed from the plastic bag, and there was grease on both the bag and the part. This was a replacement.
