I have had no problems with those struts, I bought them and have had them for a long time now
There was no difference between the two shocks I received. It did not appear that there were left or right buttons when I installed it. It has been a year since I installed them in my 2001 Olds Aurora and they are working perfectly and quietly.
The answer is yes
It was a perfect fit for me. Keep the top bolt held together by the camlock bolt from touching.

They have been installed on my 2006 Buick Lucerne CXL with four cylinders. I don't care if they last just one year. I have 6 V8s and they are worth every penny. As for the threads on the brake line bracket and ABS bracket, those who say they aren't right are mistaken, they are just really tight and rough cut threads, which is good because it prevents the bolts from backing out due to My car drives 100% better now that I repaired the old struts that were clunking and such. I can easily corner and hit bumps with Detroit Axle, and they always deliver to me overnight or the next day since I live in Mid Michigan and they are located It's important to keep a close watch on your steering knuckle so you don't pull your CV axle out of your transmission by pulling it too far. You have to move the knuckle enough to make the new strut fit into place. By doing this, I ended up having to buy a new CV shaft. I turned a $150 project into a $240 one fast.
Buying from Detroit Axle is always a good choice. The product quality has always been great, and their customer service has always been proficient. After reading the reviews on these struts and other sellers struts, the main issue seems to be the side to side ride height / rise As a result, I ordered them with an expectation that they would be slightly taller. In this review I will talk about my experiences with the struts
Shipping I received it in less than 2 days, the package was well padded and no damage occurred. Instauration
Everything went pretty smoothly and was relatively easy to install.
I took my time and finished it in a couple hours.
Crash My crash on the way down the road was really bad. With the new system, you won't have to worry about clunking over even the lightest bump The following dimensions apply to the ride height To answer the question, the ride height is adjustable. It was important to measure the height of my front fender well before installation. 28 3/4 inches from the bottom of the fender well to where the tire touches the ground (center of tire). In total, 32 1/4 inches were measured after the installation. Approximately two and a half inches of height was added to the ride. As for appearance There was not much of an increase, and it looked OK overall. Unless you happen to be a little OCD like me, no one would notice. The resolution is The struts were removed from my car, I rented a strut spring compressor from Auto Zone, and I went back to the shop to install them. After reinstalling into the car, I changed the springs from the OEM struts with the new struts. The ride height on the car then came down to 29 1/2 inches. I raised the car by approximately 3/4 inch higher than I started, and now it With the OEM springs, the ride is actually a little softer. It's a bit more to my liking (though still not my favorite). br> *Note the springs on the new struts were about 2 inches. This spring is 5 inches higher than the OEM spring. Spring coils were 5 in the new springs, and they were 4 in the OEM springs. Please take this for what it is worth, this is just my 2cents. These are great products and I will certainly purchase more of them in the future. To maintain the appearance of the vehicle or to improve the ride height, rent yourself a spring compressor and swap the springs before you put them in. As part of my installation process, I took measurements before and after.
Car drifts from one lane to another as it travels on the highway. The situation is extremely dangerous. Money will also not be refunded by customer service. It is well worth the money to invest extra in getting It was terrible. The product was poor and the service was awful.
I rated this product 3 stars on the easy to install criteria, meaning that the product itself fits like the original, but if you can install them yourself, the most challenging part would be to place the lower part of the strut vertically. Additionally, the bolts that attach the lower strut on my 2008 Lucerne have groves on the side of them and can be hard to remove. I guess my strut install rating is more a function of how the car is made than of the strut itself.
Shopping for and installing struts and springs as a set is also easier and safer than buying struts and reusing The raising of the front ended of vehicle one was caused by these rubber bumpers. They increased the ride height by 5" and firmed up the ride. We redesigned the frontend as part of an overall project. It's a pleasure to ride the new motorcycle.
I've heard of the low rider from all my friends. After installing these quick struts, there is no more low rider. Now, it rides smoothly and safely. There are many old-school struts that cost less than the OEM active struts (I installed a homemade resistor pack to calm.
You get what you pay for with It was a smooth installation, which included an alignment of the tires. For them to break in, they had to travel about 3000 miles. I found them to function fairly well after 12,000 miles, but there is something to be said about the poor ride quality they have, which you notice at highway Usually it is a decent value if you do it with a mechanic friend you know while you're in college, but I might consider higher quality struts in the future if I can spare the money.
Detroit Axle struts replaced the old AC Delco ones since the old strut tower was groaning when turning left (the bushings were dry rotted and This was on my exhaust for under 2 months then it started doing it again on the other side of the strut. My last struts lasted for just over.
